Coeur Wharf prioritizes safety, teamwork, career development, and growth. &nbsp;If you want to grow your career in a progressive, team-oriented environment, apply today.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>About the Job:</u></strong></p><p>The Welder is responsible for the performance of the following duties in a safe and productive manner:</p><p><strong><u>Responsibilities:&nbsp;</u></strong></p><p><strong>Job Duties</strong></p><ul><li>Assist other maintenance welders and work closely with supervisors to develop and implement a strong and effective maintenance welding program.</li><li>Perform layout and fabrication for the upkeep and improvement of existing equipment both fixed and mobile.</li><li>Must be able to weld using gas or arc welding and to cut using a cutting torch or air arc.</li><li>Must be able to perform these tasks in flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead position.</li><li>Must be able to read the prints or instructions of supervisors or engineering.</li><li>Maintain a clean and citation-free mine site environment.</li><li>Be knowledgeable of the proper use of special tools required to perform welding tasks.</li><li>Assist production with solving problems affecting the normal operation of equipment, both fixed and mobile.</li><li>Inform supervision of any improvements that might increase production and/or lower costs.</li><li>Advise of safety decision, etc; can it be used safely, give input.</li><li>Perform partial and major repairs as required to maximize production and maintain a safe environment.</li><li>Perform all tasks in a consistently safe and professional manner</li><li>Instruct others in these safety techniques.</li><li>Create work orders and job requests when necessary</li></ul><p>&nbsp;<strong>Physical Requirements&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Follow all procedures and safety measures to assure safe production</li><li>Work in all conditions and environments, approximately 80% of job is outdoors</li></ul><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Able to lift 65 lbs. on an occasional basis</li></ul><ul><li>Able to walk up and down slopes and uneven ground daily</li><li>Able to bend and stoop, craw on a continuous basis (access machines as needed)&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;<strong>Workplace Requirements</strong><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Work as a team member and communicate openly with others</li><li>Self-directed and able to take leadership role on many projects, including but not limited to contractor management.</li><li>Willing to stop work for safety concerns and always abide by safety best practices, policies and procedures</li><li>Rotation of work assignments to maintain training</li><li>Respirator use is required</li><li>Ability to work alone</li></ul><p><strong><u>Required Qualifications &amp; Skills:</u></strong></p><p><strong>Educational/Experience Requirements&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Must have high school diploma or equivalent. &nbsp;</li><li>Must have experience in welding maintenance and fabrication, preference to welding in the mining and/or heavy equipment field. &nbsp;</li><li>Welding certification is preferred, but not mandatory</li></ul><p><strong><u>Additional Information:</u></strong> Willing to work alternating between 5 work days, 5 days off, 4 work days, and 5 more days off.</p><p><em>It is the policy of Coeur Mining, Inc. and its direct and indirect United States subsidiaries (the &ldquo;Company&rdquo;) to provide equal opportunity employment to all Employees and applicants for employment.
