    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>Cetera Financial Group is currently seeking a Sr. Manager Network Engineering &amp; Operations for our company’s office located in either Dallas, San Diego or El Segundo.&nbsp; This is a unique opportunity to be a part of our world class Infrastructure team to run our Enterprise Environment, stay in touch with latest technology and provide world class customer service to internal and external clients.</p><p><strong>What you will do:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Support a WAN environment consisting of MPLS, SDWAN, IPSEC with a Virtual Cloud environments. Responsible for 24/7 up-time of Network Infrastructure.</li><li>Possess extensive knowledge of managing multi-cloud network environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)</li><li>Possess extensive knowledge of anomaly detection and Proactive monitoring utilizing various Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools.</li><li>Research and implement new / best of breed Networking and Artificial Intelligence networking architecture and toolsets</li><li>Provides training, mentoring, coaching, and leadership for network engineers.</li><li>Maintains and sets strategic direction for data networks, including hardware, operating systems and patching</li><li>Design and implement short / long-term strategic plans to make certain network capacity meets existing and future needs</li><li>Negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and services.</li><li>Evaluates and documents issue resolution and analyzes trends for ways to prevent future occurrences.</li><li>Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for network resource administration and appropriate use.</li><li>Practice network asset management, including maintenance and inventory, life cycle management and related documentation.</li><li>Provides \"ownership” of problem thru final resolution.</li><li>Plan, acquire, and coordinate installation of in-house and remote hardware and software across the organization's network.</li><li>Conduct research and make recommendations on network products, services, protocols, and standards</li><li>Prepare RFPs, bid proposals, contracts, scope of work reports, and other documentation for IT projects and associated efforts.</li><li>Negotiate &amp; Manage Network budgets, contracts and invoices. Creates and maintains service level agreements</li><li>Manage, in concert with the security team, and ensure effectiveness of security solutions including firewalls, Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and intrusion detection systems (IDS).</li><li>Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization's executives, decision-makers, stakeholders, department heads, and end users</li><li>Manage operational costs; conduct near / long-term financial forecasts for expanded functionality / user base.</li><li>Direct and administrate a contingent of network analysts and technicians and conduct performance reviews and corrective action.</li><li>Act as an Expert level SME in the areas of Routing and Switching technologies and IP communication for traditional office, AWS, Azure and Data Center environments.</li><li>Crisp knowledge of SDWAN, Zscaler, Palo Alto configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance.</li><li>Clear understanding of AWS / Azure / GCP Networking, VPC, Security groups, Transit Gateways, ALB/ELB, EC2 and related AWS services to support, enhance and troubleshoot cloud environments.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to lead local and remote teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues</li><li>Collaborate with on shore and offshore users including multiple time zones across US</li><li>Review and implement changes on the network, following Change management process&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>In conjunction with the Director and Senior Engineers, develop networking technology standards and infrastructure requirements.&nbsp;</li><li>Perform all other responsibilities and duties deemed necessary</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What you need to have:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>5 - 10 years of experience in network administration or engineering, including 3+ years in a leadership role.</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, MIS, related field and or technical training.
