We do this because we believe safe, affordable, quality abortion care should be accessible to all.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><br></p><p><strong><u>Summary</u></strong></p><p>The Sonographer works directly with the attending physicians, and reports to the Clinic Manager, in order to provide the support needed to give excellent reproductive healthcare. As a member of the Whole Woman&rsquo;s Health team, the ideal candidate must be committed to providing care that involves the mind, soul, heart, and body.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong><u>Essential Functions</u></strong></p><ul><li>Obstetric and gynecologic sonographers will specialize in intrauterine imaging, including gestational dating and identification of fetal development.</li><li>Intraoperative imaging during office procedures</li><li>Review patient&rsquo;s medical history and physician&rsquo;s instructions.&nbsp;</li><li>Keep patient records and adjusts/maintains equipment.&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.&nbsp;</li><li>Comply with safety, infection control, and quality improvement polices/procedures.&nbsp;</li><li>Preparing the diagnostic equipment before appointments</li><li>Discussing the procedure and medical history with patients</li><li>Positioning the patient to produce the highest-quality images</li><li>Ensuring the generated images are clear and capture the necessary information</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Experience and General Requirements</u></strong></p><ul><li>Obstetric and gynecologic imaging experience required&nbsp;</li><li>Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.&nbsp;</li><li>Proficient knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, instrumentation, basic physics, patient care, and medical ethics.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience with infection control and quality improvements practices in order to maintain a safe work environment.&nbsp;</li><li>Skilled in communication and interpersonal interactions; able to establish and maintain effective work relationships with patients, medical staff, management, and peers.</li><li>Ability to gather and analyze patient data and explain technical procedures and results to patients in an easy-to-understand manner.&nbsp;</li><li>Understanding of empathy, with the ability to calm patients who may be nervous about the procedure.&nbsp;</li><li>Bilingual candidates are preferred.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Physical Requirements</u></strong></p><ul><li>Must possess the ability and capability to perform any task in the office.&nbsp;</li><li>Must be able to lift 15 lbs or more, be able to physically move through the office unaided.</li><li>Must have excellent visual and hearing acuity.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Compensation/Benefits</u></strong></p><ul><li data-pasted=\"true\">Competitive salary based on experience.</li><li>401(k) plan with 3% company match.</li><li>Flexible scheduling and strong family support programs.</li><li>A mission-driven, inclusive, and supportive culture centered around compassion, equity, and advocacy.</li><li>Additional perks including employee discounts and virtual team-building activities.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><em><u>Please note that this is a working job description that may evolve as the needs of the company change.</u></em></p><p><em>Whole Woman&rsquo;s Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer and we welcome applications from women, people of color, and members of the LBGTQI community.
