As part of the patient care team, the PCA ensures a safe environment for patients, visitors, and coworkers, as well as appropriate utilization of resources. The PCA ensures comfort and the first level of care for patients.&nbsp;</p><p>The patient care team identifies desired outcomes for each patient based on assessment data, and plan of care and completes ongoing assessments to facilitative achievement of desired outcomes.
