Attendees are encouraged to bring a resume! </strong></li>\n <li><em><strong>We are hiring exceptional Registered Nurses to join our team at locations across Austin - this event will offer the opportunity for on site interviews and job offers!</strong></em></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<p>In collaboration with patients, families (as defined by the patient) and staff across all disciplines and departments is responsible for planning, organizing and directing the clinical support staff assigned to a unit in a community healthcare center.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Performs Charge Nurse Duties in absence of Charge Nurse.</li>\n <li>Oversee assigned staff, including but not limited to, establishing work assignments and oversee flow of unit along with identifying staffing needs.</li>\n <li>Input for performance evaluations and serve as a support lead to the charge nurse.</li>\n <li>Helps identifies and participates in process improvement strategies</li>\n <li>Assist Charge Nurse in Care Coordination and Population Health as needed. </li>\n <li>Provide coaching/mentor of Staff Development of nurse and clinical team.</li>\n <li>Supporters nurses and clinical team to improve clinical skills and knowledge.</li>\n <li>Assess the physical, social and emotional needs of patients and families in clinics. </li>\n <li>Teach and counsel patients and families concerning health assessment and care including prevention of disease, disability, hygiene, and health maintenance. </li>\n <li>Participate in the identification of patient needs for referral to resources that facilitate the continuity of care in conjunction with care management team. </li>\n <li>Provide direct nursing care to patients and distribute medications and treatments according to accepted standards of care. </li>\n <li>Complete all direct and indirect care documentation in timely manner and ensure patient records are current and complete. </li>\n <li>Participates in daily patient care (unit) huddles, in some case ensuring that huddles are taking place along with weekly clinic staff informational huddles. </li>\n <li>Maintains all licensure and/or certification requirements for continuing education and best practices. </li>\n <li>Identifies, in collaboration with Charge Nurse, supports and participates in quality strategies in collaboration from Charge Nurse to evaluate compliance with evidence-based guidelines, standards, and to identify opportunities to improve patient outcomes. </li>\n <li>Ensure all tasks provided and associated with patient care, patient administrative processes and related duties comply with all regulatory and accreditation standards including The Joint Commission and CommUnityCare Standard Operating Procedures and CommUnityCare Policies and Procedures. </li>\n <li>Act as the site lead in the absence of the Nurse Manager Operations and/or Practice Leader. </li>\n <li>Daily/weekly quality assurance checklist to include delegation of tasks as appropriate to staff (Rider report, class D, McKesson, CLIA, AED, equipment checks)</li>\n <li>Ensures state vaccine (VFC/ASN) policies are being followed. </li>\n <li>Attends all clinic codes.</li>\n <li>Patient triage as needed.</li>\n <li>Performs periodic chart audits.</li>\n <li>De-escalation of crisis situations by seeking guidance of supportive personnel.</li>\n <li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High level of skill at building relationships and providing excellent customer and patient care.</li>\n <li>High degree of knowledge and competency in the practice of nursing and documentation requirements</li>\n <li>Requisite skills and ability to perform assigned nursing tasks.</li>\n <li>High level of problem solving skills to better serve patients and staff.</li>\n <li>Strong attention to detail and accuracy.</li>\n <li>Strong ability to multitask and prioritize needs in a fast paced environment.</li>\n <li>Strong verbal and written communication skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to implement and evaluate operational and administrative processes.</li>\n <li>Strong application of Microsoft office and electronic health records.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>People Management/Department Management/Business Unit Management:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Develops communication processes to support quality of care and patient experience. </li>\n <li>Ability to develop and manage professional relationships in a complex healthcare environment including capability to collaborate with providers and other members of the healthcare team in meeting the needs of CUC patients.</li>\n <li>Develop and maintain favorable internal relationships, partnerships with team members, including nurse managers, clinical support staff, providers and business office staff. </li>\n <li>Interacts respectfully and collaboratively with patients and their families, striving to develop favorable relationships with families. </li>\n <li>Collaborates with all members of the care team in providing patient-centered care.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM EDUCATION:</strong>  Graduation from an accredited school of nursing</p>\n<p><strong>PREFERRED EDUCATION:</strong>  Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred</p>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Graduate from accredited school of nursing.</li>\n <li>Demonstrate success in providing clinical care and nursing support within an organization of comparable pace and complexity.</li>\n <li>Experience managing difficult patient/customer situations. </li>\n <li>Collaborates with clinical staff in order to achieve a common goals. </li>\n <li>Knowledge of medical practices and procedures in a healthcare environment. </li>\n <li>Demonstrate success and experience with direct patient services and the proper knowledge and use of medical devices and equipment. </li>\n <li>Familiarity with tools, technology, and systems typically found within most health care environments (i.e. Microsoft Office, EMR systems, etc.) for data entry and retrieval.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE:</strong></p>\n<li><strong>Unrestricted Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas</strong>.</li>\n<li>Current healthcare provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) course completion card obtained through approved American Heart Association or American Red Cross</li>\n<p><strong>PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE:</strong> AAACN Certification</p>",
