    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-size: 22px\">Job Description</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px\"> Job Title: Respiratory Therapist, Registered or Certified <br>Department: Cardio-Pulmonary </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Employment Status: Full-Time<br><br>Location: Harrison County Community Hospital (HCCH) <br>Reports to: Respiratory Therapy Director <br><br>Job Summary/Objective <br>The Respiratory Therapist Registered (RRT)/ Certified (CRT) is responsible for implementing medical <br>prescriptions for respiratory care, maintaining adequate supplies and equipment, and providing <br>high- quality respiratory therapy services. The RRT will assess patients' respiratory conditions, recognize <br>adverse effects of treatments, and take appropriate corrective actions. This role may also involve <br>outpatient testing, pulmonology clinic, participation in patient education, working with a team, <br>equipment evaluation, and repair. </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px\"><br>Essential Functions/Duties/Responsibilities <br>• Administer respiratory therapy as prescribed by physicians.  <br>• Monitor and assess patients' respiratory status, symptoms, and response to treatments. <br>• Recognize and address adverse effects of respiratory treatments, implementing corrective <br>actions as needed.  <br>• Understand and manage the properties and combustible characteristics of compressed <br>gases. <br>• Maintain and manage respiratory therapy equipment and supplies.  <br>• Apply knowledge of isolation techniques, anatomy, and vital signs measurement (e.g., <br>blood pressure, pulse, respirations).  <br>• Participate in patient education and outpatient testing/pulmonology clinic. <br>• Evaluate and repair respiratory therapy equipment as required. <br>• Document patient care and therapy outcomes accurately </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px\"><br>Skills/Abilities <br>Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication.  <br>• Excellent customer service and organizational skills. <br>• Proven ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.  <br>• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.  <br>• Able to work well in a flexible and demanding environment.  <br>• Maintains confidentiality and adheres to privacy regulations.  <br>• Proficient with computers and electronic medical record systems. </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px\"><br>Education and Experience <br>• Education: Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program. <br>• Certification: <br>o RT/CRT or current MO license in Respiratory Care required. <br>o BLS upon hire or within 30 days. <br>o ACLS required within 6 months of hire. <br>o PALS required within 6 months of hire. <br>• Experience: Prior experience in respiratory care preferred. </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px\"><br>Physical Requirements <br>• Ability to perform tasks that require prolonged periods of standing and walking. <br>• Must be able to lift, move, or support patients and equipment as needed. <br>• Manual dexterity for operating respiratory care equipment. </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px\"><br>EEOC Statement: <br>Harrison County Community Hospital District provides equal employment opportunities to all <br>employees and applicants and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type, without regard <br>to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, <br>sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other characteristic protected by law.</span><br></p>",
