** This position will be supporting projects in the Fort St. John, BC area **
As an Intermediate Environmental Professional, you will collaborate with clients and staff to design work plans for contaminated sites, coordinate subcontractors, manage projects, and report on site characterization and remediation. You will have 5+ years of relevant consulting experience, particularly in BC or the Oil and Gas sector, and a diploma or degree in environmental science or a related field. This role involves travel for field-based projects.
What would you be doing?
Experience coordinating and executing remediation programs, including Preliminary and Detailed Site Investigations, Phase 1 and 2 Environmental Site Assessments, In-Situ/Ex-Situ remediation, and groundwater monitoring. Strong skills in cost tracking, reporting, and technical review of environmental reports. Ability to implement and adhere to corporate and client safety programs. Effective project management skills to ensure timely and successful completion of project requirements. Perks of the job

Diploma or degree in environmental science/engineering or a related field, with a valid Class 5 Driver's License and eligibility for professional designation. Strong knowledge of BC contaminated site regulation and environmental regulations, with proven field skills in soil characterization, groundwater monitoring, and sampling. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence and collaborate across organizations. Proven experience managing multiple projects in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments while prioritizing and adapting to changing work demands. Strong problem-solving abilities, proactive initiative, and a demonstrated capacity to build relationships and work effectively within diverse teams.
As a condition of employment, qualified applicants who accept the role must complete a satisfactory pre-employment Background Check. This may consist of a combination of a Canadian Criminal Record check, an Employment Verification, and an Education and Accreditation Verification.
Candidates shortlisted will be required to complete the Profile TRAITS Survey.
The purpose of the TRAITS Survey tool is to assist FLINT in understanding the behaviors of individuals to support the best use of their strengths, abilities, and potential.
This position has been identified as a safety-sensitive position and will require completion of drug and alcohol testing.
Salary Range: $36.00 - $42.00 per hour
