This senior leadership role is responsible for driving regional growth, cultivating strong client relationships, and leading high-performing teams, with a focus on the Education and Healthcare sectors. The ideal candidate will bring strong local relationships, a strategic mindset, and the ability to both win work and successfully deliver it while growing the business from both a client and team perspective.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Location</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>San Diego, CA</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Executive Leadership &amp; Strategy</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead and grow the San Diego regional business unit with full P&amp;L responsibility</li>\n<li>Develop and execute strategic growth initiatives aligned with company objectives</li>\n<li>Build, mentor, and lead high-performing, multidisciplinary teams</li>\n<li>Collaborate with executive leadership to align regional and company-wide goals</li>\n<li>Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including early-stage client engagement</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Operations &amp; Project Oversight</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oversee all phases of construction projects, from preconstruction through closeout</li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with DSA regulations and requirements</li>\n<li>Drive performance related to schedule, budget, safety, and quality</li>\n<li>Proactively identify and mitigate project risks</li>\n<li>Implement best practices, tools, and processes to improve efficiency and consistency</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Business Development</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead and support pursuit strategies, including RFQs, RFPs, and client interviews</li>\n<li>Drive business development efforts within the Education and Healthcare markets</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)</li>\n<li>10+ years of experience in construction operations, preconstruction, or business development</li>\n<li>Proven leadership experience within the AEC or related industry</li>\n<li>Strong understanding of Education and/or Healthcare construction sectors</li>\n<li>Demonstrated success in business development and revenue growth</li>\n<li>Experience building and scaling teams and operations</li>\n<li>Established network and presence in the San Diego market</li>\n<li>Proven track record of securing work through RFQs/RFPs and relationship-based pursuits</li>\n<li>Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build and grow a business</li>\n<li>Valid driver’s license</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Compensation</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Full-Time</li>\n<li>Salary Range: $175,000/year – $250,000/year (based on experience)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Benefits</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>100% employer-paid health insurance</li>\n<li>100% employer-paid dental and vision insurance</li>\n<li>401(k) with company match</li>\n<li>Paid time off, sick days, and wellness days</li>\n<li>Paid holidays</li>\n<li>Discretionary bonus program</li>\n<li>Company-sponsored community events</li>\n<li>Recruiting referral bonuses</li>\n<li>Company credit card</li>\n<li>Phone allowance</li>\n<li>Annual holiday party with hotel accommodation</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>S+B James Construction is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
