    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>SUMMARY</strong></p><p>Ajax Building Company is seeking a Senior Superintendent to lead the field execution of complex mission critical construction projects. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overall data center site operations, including managing field teams, coordinating subcontractors, and driving performance across safety, schedule, quality, and budget.</p><p>In this role, you will take full ownership of day-to-day construction activities while ensuring seamless integration of critical building systems (MEP), trade coordination, and project sequencing. You will serve as the on-site leader, working closely with project management, clients, and trade partners to successfully deliver high-performance, technically complex projects.</p><p>The Senior Superintendent reports to and is directly accountable to the General Superintendent.<br><br><br><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type:disc;\"><li>Lead and supervise all field operations to ensure the project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.</li><li>Oversee and coordinate all subcontractors, with a strong emphasis on MEP systems integration and sequencing in mission critical environments.</li><li>Plan, organize, and direct daily jobsite activities including manpower, materials, logistics, and equipment.</li><li>Drive overall site safety culture; enforce safety policies, document violations, and implement corrective actions in coordination with Safety leadership.</li><li>Partner with Project Management to develop and maintain project schedules, phasing plans, and lookahead planning.</li><li>Lead coordination of complex building systems (electrical, mechanical, plumbing, controls), ensuring proper installation, commissioning readiness, and turnover.</li><li>Interface with owners, engineers, inspectors, and trade partners as the primary on-site point of contact.</li><li>Interpret drawings and specifications; provide technical leadership and recommend construction means, methods, and sequencing strategies.</li><li>Monitor productivity, quality, and subcontractor performance to meet contractual and operational goals.</li><li>Review and approve field-related transactions including purchase requisitions, field change requests, and subcontractor work as applicable.</li><li>Lead or oversee field engineering, layout, and coordination efforts.</li><li>Support commissioning, startup, and turnover processes critical to mission critical project delivery.</li><li>Maintain strong working relationships with project teams, subcontractors, and clients.<br>&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type:disc;\"><li>10+ years of supervisory experience in commercial construction, with significant experience leading large, complex projects.&nbsp;</li><li>Strong experience as a Lead or Senior Superintendent on mission critical / data center projects from start through commissioning.&nbsp;</li><li>Deep understanding of MEP systems, coordination, and sequencing in high-performance environments.&nbsp;</li><li>Proven ability to lead large field teams and manage multiple trades simultaneously.&nbsp;</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.&nbsp;</li><li>Strong knowledge of construction practices, scheduling, and field operations.&nbsp;</li><li>Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-demand jobsite environment.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type:disc;\"><li><p style=\"margin-bottom:0in;\">Must have the ability to perform the following tasks:</p><ul style=\"list-style-type:circle;\"><li><p style=\"margin-bottom:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in;\">Coordinate the movements of eyes, hands, and fingers with full use of hands, arms and fingers.</p></li><li><p style=\"margin-bottom:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in;\">See well (either naturally or with correction).</p></li><li><p style=\"margin-bottom:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in;\">Climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolding.</p></li><li><p style=\"margin-bottom:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in;\">Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl or work at any height.</p></li><li><p style=\"margin-bottom:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in;\">Lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally more.<br>&nbsp;</p></li></ul></li></ul><p><strong>ABOUT AJAX</strong></p><p>Founded in 1958, Ajax Building Company is a leading commercial contractor delivering complex, high-impact projects across the Southeast.
