Description

Location: NAS Patuxent River, MD Security Clearance Requirement: Secret Telework Eligible? No What You’ll Do: We have an opportunity for a highly skilled, former P-8A or EP-3 Naval Flight Officer (NFO) to provide subject matter expertise in support of NAVAIR’s Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance Aircraft Program Office, PMA-290. This position will be based at NAS Patuxent River, MD. Key responsibilities as an NFO supporting the Increment 3 (Inc3) program: Advise PMA-290 leadership on the integration and testing of Inc3 combat systems—including mission systems, sensors, environmental systems, and mission planning tools. Apply expert knowledge of current Inc3 capabilities, including Minotaur mission software. Operate P-8A Inc3 systems in lab environments to support system integration and testing goals. Analyze and report on combat system performance, providing written and verbal briefings as needed. Recommend improvements to enhance P-8A Inc3 performance across key mission areas: ASW, ASuW, Carrier Strike Group (CSG) support, and ISR. Support the development and delivery of training materials, potentially including instruction for Integrated Test Teams (ITT). This position will require occasional travel. This description outlines the general nature and scope of the role. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.
