    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>We are proactively recruiting Adjunct Faculty for the Summer 2026 term and beyond in the following areas of our School of Nursing:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Population Health Nursing Clinical</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Availability:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be able to teach an 8.5 hour clinical in the Greater Chicago area. <em>These programs are taught on-site at the Chicago campus during the weekday</em></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Essential Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Teach assigned clinical course based on approved syllabus and developed curriculum</li>\n <li>Implement evaluation methods as outlined in the approved syllabus</li>\n <li>Collaborate with nursing program administration to implement other assignments and/or evaluations based on professional experiences</li>\n <li>Attend adjunct orientation before the start of each semester</li>\n <li>Adhere to School of Nursing policies and procedures as outlined in the nursing student and faculty handbooks.</li>\n <li>Participate in end of course program reports and evaluations</li>\n <li>Attend required clinical agency orientation, if applicable</li>\n <li>Supervise and maintain laboratories and equipment if teaching in the simulation/skills lab</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Master’s Degree or higher in Nursing</li>\n <li>Unencumbered Illinois License or the ability to get an Illinois License</li>\n <li>Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an RN in the related clinical area</li>\n <li>Excellent written and oral communication skills</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>1-3 years of experience teaching BSN undergraduate nursing students in either theory or clinical</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>About the School of Nursing at NLU:</strong></p>\n<p>National Louis University (NLU) has been educating students for over 140 years and with the new <em>School of Nursing</em> is ready to assist students wishing to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree to advance their education and career opportunities. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>UNDERGRADUATE COLLEGE CORE COMPETENCIES:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Ownership and Quality of Work: Effectively manages own work, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work within a fast-paced environment.</p></li>\n <li><p>Organizational Commitment: Passionate, energetic, and driven to make a difference; Acts with honesty, integrity, and professionalism; Self-reflective, focused on development, and makes regular progress on development areas; Learns from mistakes and setbacks; Is adaptable and welcomes change.</p></li>\n <li><p>Upward Management: Engages at appropriate level with supervisor in defining desired outcomes, providing status updates, and obtaining input as to ongoing project direction and process; Keeps commitments and meets deadlines without the need for reminders; Proactively shares information in a timely manner.</p></li>\n <li><p>Collaboration: Works with colleagues, from across the organization, toward achieving common goals by sharing knowledge, learning, and building consensus. These rates vary by college and number of credit hours for the course/assignment.
