(“JEI”) is the preferred company to call when our customers - which include public sector and some of the largest manufacturers in the PNW - have an industrial cleaning, hydro-blasting, vacuum excavation or hazardous/non-hazardous waste cleanup need. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We are growing because of our commitment to excellence in Safety, Quality, and Customer Service. Our services have expanded to derailments and other railroad and waterway services. We have an additional office in Pasco, WA, and we currently offer services in multiple states. Come grow with us!</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We are seeking a <span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Lube Technician (full-time)</span></span> to support fleet maintenance in our <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Longview, WA</span> shop. This position will be working <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">day shift at this time (ideally 5:30 am to 2 pm with some flexibility to meet needs) and may change to swing shift at a later date</span> to meet business needs. The Lube Technician performs basic preventative maintenance on company vehicles, heavy equipment, and fleet assets to support safe and efficient operations. This role will have a heavy emphasis on lubrication, including greasing and oil changes, as well as driving to pick up and drop off parts and equipment as needed.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This position is <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">safety-sensitive</span> and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">subject to federal regulation</span> by the Department of Transportation (DOT). For more information, see “Safety-Sensitive &amp; Drug/Alcohol Testing” section below.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Competitive hourly compensation commensurate with experience. The pay range for this role is $24-$28 per hour. While starting pay is typically closer to the beginning of the pay range, actual pay within the range is based on qualifications and experience.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You’ll Do</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform preventative maintenance including lubrication and greasing, oil changes, filter replacement, fluid checks and refills, and inspection, replacement, and testing of required lights and reflectors</li>\n<li>Act as parts runner, driving to drop off and pick up parts and equipment as needed</li>\n<li>Look for and report on any leaks found</li>\n<li>Ensure windshield wipers are not missing, damaged, or inoperable</li>\n<li>Inspect windshields for cracks, discoloration, obstacles, etc.</li>\n<li>Conduct inspections and identify general mechanical or safety concerns</li>\n<li>Maintain work orders, service records, and inspection logs</li>\n<li>Maintain clean, organized, and safe work area</li>\n<li>Perform other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What We’re Looking For</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the U.S. <em>JEI does not currently sponsor employment visas.</em></li>\n<li>Must have high school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience</li>\n<li>Must have a valid driver's license</li>\n<li>Ability to satisfy lawful pre-employment, periodic, and ongoing screenings, including background (criminal, work experience, educational, reference checks, motor vehicle/driving record, etc.) and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">DOT-regulated drug/alcohol testing (includes testing for marijuana THC)</span> where permitted by law. Must be able to gain TWIC card.</li>\n<li>Ability to utilize basic vehicle maintenance equipment such as grease guns, screwdrivers, wrenches, hand drills, etc.</li>\n<li>Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed</li>\n<li>Ability to perform successfully while working independently as well as within teams</li>\n<li>Must be able to display motivation and self-initiation</li>\n<li>Ability to accurately apply basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)</li>\n<li>Ability to communicate professionally and effectively both verbally and in writing</li>\n<li>Ability to wear required PPE and follow all company policies and practices</li>\n<li>Must have a mechanical aptitude and be solution-oriented with ability to apply critical thinking skills and solve problems</li>\n<li>Must apply and maintain attention to detail and be able to follow verbal and written instructions</li>\n<li>Must be safety-focused, dependable, reliable, and responsible</li>\n<li>Must be a self-starter, show motivation in their work, and be willing and able to develop and grow</li>\n<li>Must be adaptable and flexible to various environments, people, and application of how we approach and perform work.</li>\n<li>Vocational training in automotive technology (preferred but not required)</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Safety-Sensitive &amp; Drug/Alcohol Testing</span><br><em>All JEI employees who perform work in field operations, visit or perform work at job sites, or operate a company vehicle are considered to be in a safety-sensitive, DOT-regulated position and are required to complete and pass DOT-regulated drug screenings for pre-employment <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">and</span> post-employment screenings, including <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">ongoing</span> random drug pool testing</em><em>, post-accident/incident, return to work, follow-up, and reasonable suspicion. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">DOT-regulated drug screenings test for marijuana (THC)</span> as well as other controlled substances, and a positive result, refusal to test/retest, or refusal to complete testing is considered a failed test. A failed test, refusal to test, or other violation of Company policy may result in withdrawal of offer, disqualification from employment, and/or termination of employment.</em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Physical Requirements &amp; Working Conditions</span></p>\n<p><em>Qualified applicants must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation. Work is performed in indoor shop settings, outdoor environments, and industrial or customer job sites, with frequent exposure to varying weather conditions including extreme heat, cold, rain, snow, ice, wind, humidity, and direct sunlight. Employees may be exposed to noise levels typical of automotive repair and maintenance facilities, including loud or constant noise from engines, pneumatic tools, machinery, and equipment. The role may involve exposure to oils, lubricants, fuels, exhaust fumes, solvents, chemicals, dust, dirt, grease, and other airborne particles.</em></p>\n<p><em>Use of required personal protective equipment (“PPE”), such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, respirators, protective footwear, and other safety gear, is mandatory based on the task and work environment.
