The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in utility locating, strong communication skills, and a passion for safety and education.</p>\r\n\r\n<hr />\r\n<p><b>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:</b><br />\r\nTraining &amp; Development:</p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Conduct training for all incoming employees on company standard locating materials and procedures.</li>\r\n\t<li>Conduct classroom and field training sessions for new hires and existing staff, covering best practices, safety protocols, and proper use of locating equipment.</li>\r\n\t<li>Stay current on industry trends, technology advancements, and regulatory changes to ensure training programs are up to date.</li>\r\n\t<li>Provide one-on-one coaching and mentorship to enhance the skills and knowledge of utility locators.</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n\r\n<p>Auditing &amp; Compliance:</p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Perform regular field audits to assess the accuracy and quality of utility locating work.</li>\r\n\t<li>Evaluate locators&#39; adherence to safety standards, proper use of equipment, and compliance with company policies and procedures.</li>\r\n\t<li>Document audit findings, prepare detailed reports, and provide feedback to locators and management.</li>\r\n\t<li>Develop corrective action plans and follow up on implementation to ensure continuous improvement.</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n\r\n<p>Documentation &amp; Reporting:</p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Maintain accurate records of training sessions, certifications, and audit results.</li>\r\n\t<li>Prepare and present reports on training effectiveness, audit findings, and overall compliance to management.</li>\r\n\t<li>Collaborate with management to analyze data and identify trends or areas needing improvement.</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n\r\n<p>Safety &amp; Compliance:</p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Promote a culture of safety and ensure that all training programs emphasize the importance of safe locating practices.</li>\r\n\t<li>Keep abreast of federal, state, and local regulations related to utility locating and ensure that all training and auditing processes are compliant.</li>\r\n\t<li>Act as a subject matter expert on utility locating safety protocols and provide guidance to the team as needed.</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n\r\n<p><b>JOB REQUIREMENTS:</b></p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Attention to detail; strong focus on accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks.</li>\r\n\t<li>Willingness to travel (75% +) for field audits, training sessions, and meetings.</li>\r\n\t<li>Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.</li>\r\n\t<li>Expertise in locate industry.</li>\r\n\t<li>Ability to maintain a consistent teamwork mentality.</li>\r\n\t<li>Knowledge and understanding of Northern Lights policies.</li>\r\n\t<li>Good verbal and written communication skills.</li>\r\n\t<li>Able to pass a drug and alcohol screen.</li>\r\n\t<li>Must have a valid Driver&rsquo;s License and the ability to obtain a DOT physical certification.</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n\r\n<p><b>WORKING CONDITIONS:</b></p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Dayshift work primarily, with occasional alternative shift work.</li>\r\n\t<li>Exposure to dust, dirt, foul odors, irritating noises, extreme weather conditions, and other safety hazards.
