    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><span style=\"font-size:11.0pt;\" lang=\"en-NL\">CSMART is currently looking for an <strong>Instructor&nbsp;</strong>for our<strong> Technical Department</strong> for 40 hours per week, with a focus on delivering high-quality training programs, supporting continuous improvement through simulation-based learning, and integrating current and emerging technologies and procedures.&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size:11.0pt;\" lang=\"en-NL\">To achieve and maintain the highest maritime standards, you will continuously develop your expertise and have the opportunity to specialize in areas such as Marine Engineering, Prime Movers, Energy Efficiency, HVAC, Hydraulics, Safety, Compliance, Environmental, Leadership, and Human Element, tailoring your knowledge to the evolving needs of the cruise industry. Applicants must possess strong technical skills, a high degree of self-motivation, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size:11.0pt;\" lang=\"en-NL\">The role focuses on training provided to cruise ship officers. You will contribute by bringing your technical expertise to the training center and sharing this knowledge with the training department staff members.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size:11.0pt;\" lang=\"en-NL\"><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></span></p><ul style=\"list-style-type:disc;\"><li style=\"line-height:107%;\"><span style=\"font-size:11.0pt;line-height:107%;\" lang=\"en-NL\">Delivering training to shipboard technical staff.</span></li><li style=\"line-height:107%;\"><span style=\"font-size:11.0pt;line-height:107%;\" lang=\"en-NL\">Delivering courses according to the CSMART course delivery process.</span></li><li style=\"line-height:107%;\"><span style=\"font-size:11.0pt;line-height:107%;\" lang=\"en-NL\">Acting as a representative of the corporate safety culture and promoting this attitude with candidates.</span></li><li style=\"line-height:107%;\"><span style=\"font-size:11.0pt;line-height:107%;\" lang=\"en-NL\">Developing and updating courses and procedures to be implemented onboard ships.</span></li><li style=\"line-height:107%;\"><span style=\"font-size:11.0pt;line-height:107%;\" lang=\"en-NL\">Keeping up to date with current practices, technology, Carnival procedures, and international regulations.</span></li><li style=\"line-height:107%;\"><span style=\"font-size:11.0pt;line-height:107%;\" lang=\"en-NL\">Liaising with the Operations Support team and other instructors to ensure everything is prepared prior to the start of the course.</span></li><li style=\"line-height:107%;\"><span style=\"font-size:11.0pt;line-height:107%;\" lang=\"en-NL\">Following up with underperforming and outstanding participant processes.</span></li><li style=\"line-height:107%;\"><span style=\"font-size:11.0pt;line-height:107%;\" lang=\"en-NL\">Managing equipment including simulators and addressing any deficiencies.</span></li><li style=\"line-height:107%;\"><span style=\"font-size:11.0pt;line-height:107%;\" lang=\"en-NL\">Staying abreast of the latest developments in teaching techniques and the use of simulators as a teaching aid.</span></li><li style=\"line-height:107%;\"><span style=\"font-size:11.0pt;line-height:107%;\" lang=\"en-NL\">Continuously developing expertise in your chosen specialization area to serve as a trusted subject matter expert and a specialized trainer.</span></li><li style=\"line-height:107%;\"><span style=\"font-size:11.0pt;line-height:107%;\" lang=\"en-NL\">Reviewing relevant case studies for the subject being taught.</span></li><li style=\"line-height:107%;\"><span style=\"font-size:11.0pt;line-height:107%;\" lang=\"en-NL\">Understudying other courses at CSMART.</span></li><li style=\"line-height:107%;\"><span style=\"font-size:11.0pt;line-height:107%;\" lang=\"en-NL\">Visiting ships to stay updated with ship operations with a focus on the subject being taught.</span></li></ul><p><span style=\"font-size:11.0pt;\" lang=\"en-NL\"><strong>Requirements &amp; Experience</strong></span></p><ul style=\"list-style-type:disc;\"><li style=\"line-height:107%;tab-stops:list 36.0pt;\"><span style=\"font-size:11.0pt;line-height:107%;\" lang=\"en-NL\">Served as STCW (III/2 Chief Engineer Unlimited or III/6) licensed role for at least 5 years, and/or?</span></li><li style=\"line-height:107%;tab-stops:list 36.0pt;\"><span style=\"font-size:11.0pt;line-height:107%;\" lang=\"en-NL\">Experience as a Senior Engineer, Superintendent, or Subject Matter Expert in the maritime field for at least 5 years.</span></li><li style=\"line-height:107%;tab-stops:list 36.0pt;\"><span style=\"font-size:11.0pt;line-height:107%;\" lang=\"en-NL\">Proven leadership experience in the maritime industry (minimum 5 years).</span></li><li style=\"line-height:107%;tab-stops:list 36.0pt;\"><span style=\"font-size:11.0pt;line-height:107%;\" lang=\"en-NL\">Cruise ship experience highly preferred;
