          "text": "<p>The Public Area Attendant is responsible for performing a combination of tasks which maintains the hotel’s cleanliness in a clean and orderly manner.&#xa0; The Public Area Attendant is thereby contributing to a pleasant and positive guest experience that will meet established standards of the Fairmont Orchid Hawaii.</p><ul></ul><p><strong>What you will be doing:</strong></p><ul><li>“Own” lobby and/or public area assigned, on a regular schedule, cleaning, spot sweeping, carpet dusting when necessary, keeping glass doors, mirrors free of fingerprints, and elevators regularly</li><li>Take initiative to add a personalized experience for the guest</li><li>Work effectively and contribute positively to a team</li><li>Maintain all public restrooms, insuring proper cleanliness and supplies.</li><li>Clean all mirrors and glasses; inside of windows; all vents in assigned areas stock all paper supplies in restrooms and storage closets; wipe, clean all marble and tables and dust all surfaces</li><li>Vacuum carpets including rugs on service landing when needed or applicable</li><li>Report damage or malfunction in hotel rooms/areas</li><li>Respond professionally, politely, and efficiently to requests from guests</li><li>Maintain equipment in a proper state of cleanliness</li><li>Use hands to lift, carry, or pull objects that may be heavy</li><li>Maintain excellent grooming and uniform standards</li><li>Read, understand and follow all department policies</li></ul>",
