    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Job Summary:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Malanai LLC is seeking a Mid-level Statistician/Epidemiologist for a potential effort supporting the Defense Health Agency by providing epidemiological analysis of the trends, magnitude and impact of ocular trauma, vision-threatening conditions, and other multi-sensory/scientific areas, across the U.S. Military and Veteran Affairs population. This role involves assisting with conducting epidemiologic investigations of ocular trauma, vision-threatening conditions, and other multi-sensory/scientific areas as needed, across the U.S. Military and Veteran population.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em><strong>NOTE - This is not an active contract, any offer resulting from applying to this position would be contingent on contract award.</strong></em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Key Responsibilities: </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Statistician/Epidemiologist activities include but are not limited to:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong computer skills.</li>\n <li>Develop study protocols and critical literature reviews utilizing multiple data sources, containing ocular and vision related data.</li>\n <li>Conduct epidemiologic investigations of ocular trauma, vision-threatening conditions, and other multi-sensory/scientific areas as needed, across the U.S. Military and Veteran population.</li>\n <li>Prepare clear and concise written reports, correspondence and professional papers for potential publication submission to peer-reviewed journals.</li>\n <li>Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.</li>\n <li>Strong verbal/written communication skills.</li>\n <li>Other duties as necessary in supporting the organization's mission.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Requirements</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Requirements</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Master's Degree in statistics, epidemiology, or a related field; AND five (3) years of experience in performing statistics analyses; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.</li>\n <li>Experience in applied epidemiology and statistics including survival analysis, generalized linear model, causal inference, and data visualization.</li>\n <li>Strong skills in analyzing complex data from multiple sources and data wrangling using the programming language.</li>\n <li>Effective communications in multidisciplinary collaboration.</li>\n <li>Preparing clear and concise reports, manuscripts, and other written materials.</li>\n <li>Attention to detail.</li>\n <li>Communication skills and teamwork</li>\n <li>Self-motivated and capable of independent work and productivity.</li>\n <li>US Citizen and capable of passing a National Agency Check with Investigation</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Technical Qualifications</strong>:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Competency in PDF editing and documents comparison software (e.g Adobe Acrobat)</li>\n <li>Proficient in Microsoft Suite (especially Word, Excel and Outlook)</li>\n <li>Experience with SharePoint, Teams, or other document collaboration tools.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Benefits: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Employer Paid Medical Insurance</li>\n <li>Dental and Vision Insurance</li>\n <li>401k</li>\n <li>PTO</li>\n <li>Tuition Reimbursement</li>\n <li>Paid Parental Leave</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time.</li>\n <li>Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen.</li>\n <li>Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner.</li>\n <li>May include lifting weight up to 50 pounds as necessary.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Malanai LLC reserves the right to change or modify job duties and assignments at any time.
