We are a place where you can belong and become. </p>\n<p><strong>We are genuine:</strong> we value you and embrace your individuality. </p>\n<p><strong>We are hopeful:</strong> we believe in you and your potential to become a catalyst in the world. </p>\n<p><strong>We are nurturing:</strong> we support you in your journey to develop your full potential. </p>\n<p><strong>We are determined:</strong> above all else, we are on a relentless quest to make our community stronger beginning with you.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Assist in the development and the implementation of specific program curriculum within the Sports Department primarily during the summer season in Sports Camps, through proper training, evaluation, and promotion of programs.</li>\n <li>Assist in giving guidance and direction to sports participants and volunteers.</li>\n <li>Assist in maintaining the equipment, inventory and program areas.</li>\n <li>Develops relationships for the advancement and promotion of the YMCA Sports Program.</li>\n <li>Ensure safety procedures are followed.</li>\n <li>Adhere to policies related to boundaries with consumers</li>\n <li>Attend/complete required abuse risk management training</li>\n <li>Adhere to procedures related to managing high-risk activities and supervising consumers</li>\n <li>Follow mandated reporting requirements</li>\n <li>Adhere to job specific abuse risk management responsibilities</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be at least 16 years of age</li>\n <li>Knowledge of recreation, physical education or some related field or equivalent work experience.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of the following sports: baseball, basketball, football, track & field, and soccer, e.g., rules.</li>\n <li>Possess skills in relationship building e.g. excellent communication skills.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Beneficial Skills & Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Have a full understanding of YMCA philosophy and live, work and perform work duties in a manner consistent with such.</li>\n <li>Community involvement.</li>\n <li>Experience working with youth of all ages.</li>\n</ul>",
