    "description_html": "<div style=\"text-align:center;\"><strong><u>The below job is only being posted by Ponca City Development Authority and is being hired by a local employer.  <br><br>TPI Staffing Service is looking to fill the following position: Service Technician<br>Please apply at tpistaffingservice.com or stop by the office at 215 N 3rd St to complete the application process.</u></strong></div><br><u><strong>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:</strong></u><ul><li>Installs irrigation systems for new construction and remodels.</li><li>Winterizes irrigation system.</li><li>Installs and tests backflow prevention devices.</li><li>Repairs district irrigation systems (e.g., repairs and replaces sprinkler heads and valves, PVC pipe and fittings, solders copper pipe and fittings, installs pipe repair clamps).</li><li>Maintains and tests all backflow devices on district systems and equipment (e.g., boilers, soap dispensers, dishwashers, sprinkling systems).</li><li>Gathers and inputs site data, programs and monitors computerized sprinkler control system.</li><li>Programs, repairs and adjusts digital and electro mechanical sprinkler codes.</li><li>Installs, adjusts, troubleshoots and repairs timers, pressure regulators, valves (pneumatic, solenoid, and flushometer) and backflow preventers.</li><li>Assists with review of work requests and job assignments.</li><li>Assists with design of district irrigation systems.</li><li>Maintains a repair truck and shop with material and tool inventory. Drives truck to repair and installation sites. Inspects and conducts tests on new, contractor installed, irrigation systems. Assists with walk-throughs and final inspections.</li><li>Maintains records of backflow device tests; prepares and submits related report.</li><li>Repairs damage from vandalism, such as broken heads.</li><li>Assists with ordering of replacement parts. Fills out PIP sheets for submission to foreman.</li><li>Assists in determining supply and equipment requirements, locates vendors, arranges bids, prepares price information form (PIF) for submission to foreman.</li><li>On call for troubleshooting and emergency repairs during irrigation season.</li><li>Augers, cleans and maintains drainage systems.</li></ul><br><u><strong>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:</strong></u><ul><li>High School diploma or equivalent. </li><li>Previous experience is preferred relating to the above tasks, knowledge, skills and abilities or an equivalent combination of education and experience.</li><li>Driver's license</li></ul><br><strong><u>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:</u></strong><ul><li>Ability to read, write and perform basic mathematical functions.</li><li>Knowledge of service, repair, remodel and new construction of irrigation systems</li><li>Knowledge of irrigation codes and safety procedures</li><li>Ability to install and repair piping and fixtures</li><li>Ability to program temperature and timing systems</li><li>Ability to read blueprints, legends, plot plans, configurations and charts</li><li>Knowledge of material safety data sheets (MSDS) preferred</li><li>Ability to maintain inventory and property.</li><li>Ability to use small, medium and heavy equipment and machinery.</li></ul><br><strong><u>PHYSICAL DEMANDS:</u></strong><br>Very heavy work: Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
