    "description_html": "<p>&nbsp;This is a general employment application for our <u><strong>OKLAHOMA</strong></u> crews. &nbsp;By completing this general application, work experience and education will determine the position offered to a candidate. &nbsp;Please see the following details on positions available at Imperium Utility Services. &nbsp;<u><strong>To be considered for any of our open roles, you must have a valid CDL.&nbsp;</strong></u></p><ul><li>Ground Hand</li><li>Foreman</li><li>General Foreman</li><li>Apprentice Lineman</li><li>Journeymen Lineman</li></ul><p><u><strong>Entry Level Positions</strong></u><strong> -</strong></p><p><u><strong>DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></u></p><ul><li>You are a designated competent person for your crew; you must be able to identify hazards and take corrective action when necessary.&nbsp;</li><li>Customer and labor effective communication.</li><li>Understand and follow all assigned job tasks.</li><li>Organizational skills. &nbsp;</li><li>Ability to follow specific job requirements and recognize potential dangers.</li><li>Travel long distances when needed; work out of town and/or state when necessary.</li><li>Drive utility vehicles <strong>(CDL drivers only)</strong>; while following operating instructions, safety standards, guidelines and DOT responsibilities.</li><li>Must be able to operate all safety equipment and initiate the emergency action plan if necessary.</li><li>Will be expected to perform pole top rescue when needed, utilizing the lower controls of a bucket.</li><li>Will be expected to perform CPR if called upon.</li><li>Attention and care are required to prevent injury to others when performing all essential functions.</li><li>Will be expected to become familiar with all host utility specifications.</li><li>Must understand and have knowledge of the assigned PPE and how and when to use it.</li><li>Must take direction and learn safe and productive work practices from journeyman linemen and foremen.</li><li>Have all the tools that the company does not provide to complete the job task.</li><li>Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.</li><li>Passes tools and safety equipment to Bucket Operator crew members.</li><li>A general helper on the ground, helping oversee and maintain the work location.</li><li>Handles overhead conductor reels and other materials as directed.</li><li>Assists in framing and setting transformers and other associated electrical equipment.</li><li>Assists line crew with setting poles by digging, shoveling, or piking; backfills pole and anchor holes.</li><li>Prepares and assembles distribution material.</li><li>Keeps the job work location organized and free of walking hazards.</li><li>Clears undergrowth from rights-of-way by using hand tools or saws.</li><li>Piles debris to clear the path. Performs general clean-up of job sites following completion of work.</li><li>Notifies customers of impending disruption of service while lines are under repair.</li><li>Sets up work zone and flags traffic to protect employees and the public from injury.</li></ul><p><u><strong>Foreman/Supervisory Positions</strong></u></p><p><u><strong>Education/Position Requirements</strong></u></p><ul><li>High school diploma or GED required.</li><li>Minimum 5 years’ experience in the electrical services industry required.</li><li>OSHA Competent Person Certified is preferred</li><li><strong>CDL required</strong>.</li><li>Strong leadership and interpersonal skills require attention to detail.</li><li>Possess strong organizational and time management skills.</li><li>Ability to understand plans/blueprints to ensure projects meet all building/code requirements.</li><li>Proven success in meeting critical deadlines under stressful conditions</li><li>Strong sense of personal responsibility</li><li>Commitment to doing quality work while putting safety first.</li></ul><p><u><strong>General Foreman</strong></u><strong> -&nbsp;</strong></p><p><u><strong>DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></u></p><ul><li>Perform all of the responsibilities of a Journeyman Lineman.</li><li>Responsible for crew administration and equipment management.</li><li>Interact with employees, customers, and the public in a courteous and tactful manner.</li><li>Adhere to IUS safety and performance standards.</li><li>Maintain time and material records for the assigned job.</li><li>Other duties as requested by leadership.</li><li>You are the designated competent person for your crew; you must be able to identify hazards and take corrective action when necessary.</li><li>Understand and perform all functions of power line construction, re-conducting, conversions, transformer connections, and specs.&nbsp;</li><li>Able to perform lineman essential functions when necessary.</li><li>Fill out progress and/or disciplinary reports when needed or requested</li><li>Customer and labor effective communication.</li><li>Job planning.</li><li>Organizational skills. &nbsp;Ability to organize and assign responsibility to crew members in an efficient manner.</li><li>Ability to motivate individuals.</li><li>Ability to follow specific job requirements and recognize potential dangers.</li><li>Ability to train employees and assess weaknesses and strengths within each crew member.</li><li>Communicate daily with crew members on changing conditions such as schedules, job location, job requirements, and hazards.</li><li>Work long and irregular hours to restore service.</li><li>Travel long distances when needed; work out of town and/or state when necessary.</li><li>Drive utility vehicles <strong>(CDL drivers only)</strong>; while following operating instructions, safety standards, guidelines and DOT responsibilities.</li><li>Must be able to operate all safety equipment and initiate the emergency action plan if necessary.</li><li>Must be trained and able to perform pole top rescue when needed.</li><li>Must be trained and able to perform CPR.</li><li>Has overall responsibility for the safety and performance of the crew.</li><li>Attention and care are required to prevent injury to others when performing all essential functions.</li><li>Have a thorough knowledge of lockout-tag out procedures, insulate and isolate practices, switching procedures, and placing and removing grounds.</li><li>Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations &amp; commitments, including the &nbsp;Daily Competent Person</li><li>Inspections, PPE requirements, trenching, and shoring work practices and controls are in place</li><li>Connections - phase orientations verified; equipment dielectric tests are up to date.</li><li>Must have thorough knowledge of all host utility specifications.</li><li>Thorough knowledge of locate policy and procedures, including laws governing locate procedures</li><li>Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.</li></ul><p><u><strong>ENVIRONMENTAL &amp; PHYSICAL CONDITIONS</strong></u></p><p>The work environment conditions described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this position. This position works primarily in the field and is exposed to all types of weather conditions, including temperature extremes and rainy environments. Outdoor settings involve a wide range of properties and site conditions, including open spaces, timberlands, urban developments, flat and hilly terrain, building construction sites, and road rights-of-way. Subject to outside weather/driving conditions.</p>",
