    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p data-pasted=\"true\">Job Title:&nbsp;Director of Donor &amp; Partnership Development&nbsp;</p><p>Position Classification: Exempt&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Reports to:</strong> Chief Development Officer</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>General Function:</u></strong></p><p><br></p><p>The <strong>Director of Donor &amp; Partnership Development</strong> will play a critical role in helping the Boys &amp; Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City (BGCGKC) achieve its vision by helping to manage day-to-day fundraising activities for BGCGKC. This position will be tasked with activities related to the stewardship, cultivation and solicitation of the corporate, individual donor community, including in-kind donors. Through direction from the Chief Development Officer, this position will implement a comprehensive plan for developing key external alliances by cultivating philanthropic support. Director of Donor &amp; Partnership Development will expand and diversify BGCGKC&rsquo;s donor base and align it with current and future programs.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Primary Responsibilities and Activities:</u></strong></p><p><strong><u>&nbsp;</u></strong></p><p><strong>RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Utilize &lsquo;moves management&rsquo; fundraising principles to actively cultivate and solicit targeted corporate, individual, &amp; community prospects&nbsp;</li><li>Manage and execute the organization&rsquo;s direct mail and on-line solicitation program, including campaign planning, vendor coordination, list segmentation, timelines and tracking to ensure completion. Overall goal to ensure regular updates are distributed among our donors.</li><li>Direct and manage community partnership creation and activations between Resource Development and the Programming Department, ensuring collaborative execution, clear communication, and measurable impact.</li><li>Expand the relationship and fundraising base through affinity events with donors and conduct exploratory meetings with targeted prospects to determine their interests and capabilities. Discuss ways to create win-win situations through sponsorships and other financial contributions&nbsp;</li><li>Manage the donor-recognition and impact-reporting function that demonstrates how financial gifts fuel the work of Boys &amp; Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City&nbsp;</li><li>Provide cross-functional collaboration within the Development Department by assisting with a range of initiatives, projects, and tasks to ensure efficient operations and advancement of fundraising goals across the department.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:.5in;\"><br></p><p><strong>LEADERSHIP</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Successfully and strategically manage a portfolio of 40-50 significant donors and prospects aimed at securing funds (combination of corporate and individuals) does not include grants&nbsp;</li><li>Support the &ldquo;culture of philanthropy, gratitude and appreciation&rdquo; and help in managing the stewardship process&nbsp;</li><li>In partnership with Chief Development Officer, guide the development of fundraising standards and tools, based on best practices, to ensure effectiveness, quality and innovation in fundraising</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Position Requirements:</u></strong></p><p><br></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in a related field, advanced degree preferred&nbsp;</li><li>Minimum of five (5) years of work experience managing nonprofit programs and fund development&nbsp;</li><li>Demonstrated strategic thinking and planning experience&nbsp;</li><li>Strong track record of successful fundraising, demonstrating measurable results&nbsp;</li><li>Extensive experience working with individual and corporate donor bases</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Position Qualifications:</u></strong></p><p><br></p><p>Commitment to personally champion the organization&rsquo;s core ideology&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Dynamic, high-energy self-starter.
