    "description": "<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Summary</span><br>To serve as a direct point of contact for customers and process orders through a variety of<br>means such as, in person, telephone, fax or mail correspondence. Provide exceptional<br>service to all customers through application of general product knowledge and a genuine<br>interest to please. Handle complaints as directed by management.</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Duties and Responsibilitie</span>s<br>1. Accepts customer orders (including walk-ins) and generates picking slips.<br>2. Forwards purchase orders to accounts department for filing.<br>3. Balances collections of the previous day with individual account report (each<br>morning) before forwarding to accounts department.<br>4. Follows up on customers for payment on returned cheques (as assigned).<br>5. Notifies customers of products when restocked.<br>6. Advises customers of new products and special offerings.<br>7. Provides regular feedback to manager on customer complaints.<br>8. Keeps work area clean and tidy at all times.<br>9. Keeps appropriate records relating to the discharge of his/her responsibilities.<br>10. Executes any other duty assigned by management.</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Organizational Relationships</span><br>This position reports directly to the Sales &amp; Service Manager (Consumer). He/she liaises<br>regularly with management and divisional employees such as accounts, warehouse,<br>marketing and sales staff.</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Requirements - Education and Experience</span><br>He/she must have a high school diploma or general education certificate with one year’s<br>work experience. Basic understanding of the consumer/wholesale industry is desirable.<br>Must have a professional demeanor, multi-task oriented, with good communication skills<br>and problem solving abilities. He/she must be a self-motivated team player proficient in<br>basic computer applications.</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Physical and Emotional Demands</span><br>He/she must have the physical ability and emotional intelligence to perform the essential<br>functions of the job which may include but not limited to being in front of a computer<br>monitor for long periods. This position requires dealing with difficult personalities and<br>conflicts while maintaining a consistently professional and calm demeanor.</p>\n<p><br></p>",
