Technicians are responsible for the repair, diagnosis, overhaul, and reconditioning maintenance of customer and company heavy equipment and components. Depending on the location and assignment, the technician will be responsible for some, or all the functions and duties listed below. These repairs may require working hours in addition to the normal work schedule for emergency calls or routine service as required<em>. This job description does not include a complete listing of all the duties and functions of the position. Management reserves the right to assign other duties or projects as necessary.</em></span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 12px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\"><strong><u>Essential Functions and Responsibilities:</u></strong> To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. <em>(Other duties may be assigned)</em></span></p><ul style=\"margin-right: 0px; padding: 0px 40px;\"><li style=\"font-size: 12px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments while maintaining a safe work environment and safe work habits.</li><li style=\"font-size: 12px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Recondition, repair, service, and assemble any machines/industrial equipment.</li><li style=\"font-size: 12px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Diagnose problems and determine what repairs are needed.</li><li style=\"font-size: 12px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Perform any inspections as required.</li><li style=\"font-size: 12px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Check and report any shortages and malfunctions to the Service Manager.</li><li style=\"font-size: 12px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Maintain records and account for all time, parts, and supplies used in repairing and servicing both customer and dealership equipment.</li><li style=\"font-size: 12px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Handle customer problems both objectively and tactfully.</li><li style=\"font-size: 12px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Assist in directing work of helpers or on the job trainees and provide instructions as required.</li><li style=\"font-size: 12px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Complete dis-assembly and inspection, as efficiently as possible, so parts may be ordered, and machine work can be scheduled promptly.</li><li style=\"font-size: 12px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Perform all service tasks as assigned by the Service Manager, Supervisor, or Shop Foreman.</li><li style=\"font-size: 12px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Prepare all reports and forms required in conjunction with job assignments.</li><li style=\"font-size: 12px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Report to Service Manager any additional work required to ensure proper operation and safety of equipment.</li><li style=\"font-size: 12px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Participate in service training programs required for development of skills and knowledge.</li><li style=\"font-size: 12px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Maintain a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly fashion.</li><li style=\"font-size: 12px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Bring to the attention of the Service Manager any shop tools, equipment or vehicle that is not in a serviceable condition or is unsafe to use.</li><li style=\"font-size: 12px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Represent the dealership as a professional Service Technician at all times.</li><li style=\"font-size: 12px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Operate trucks and equipment with extreme care and caution.</li><li style=\"font-size: 12px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Maintain and care for shop tools, equipment, vehicles, and other employee&rsquo;s belongings.</li><li style=\"font-size: 12px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Reports to work on time, as scheduled.</li><li style=\"font-size: 12px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Ability to work up to 12-hour days, varying shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.</li><li style=\"font-size: 12px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Ability to operate company vehicles and follow all motor vehicle state safety laws <em>(if necessary).</em></li><li style=\"font-size: 12px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-family: arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures</li><li style=\"font-size: 12px;
