This role will be full-time IP and OP with rotating day/evening/night shifts and weekends.</p><p>Inova&nbsp;Orthopedic Services&nbsp;leads the Northern Virginia and Washington, DC&nbsp;metro area in helping people with arthritis, orthopedic illness, trauma or injury to regain their active lifestyles. The APP will collaborate with attending orthopedic surgeons, residents, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across the continuum – including the emergency department, operating room, inpatient units, and outpatient clinics.</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Responding to full/modified trauma activations with known orthopedic injuries</li><li>Perform comprehensive orthopedic assessments, including history, physical exams, and diagnostic interpretation.</li><li>Intermittent First-assist in the operating room and perform orthopedic procedures (e.g., reductions, traction pins, casting, splinting, bedside I&amp;Ds when needed, and wound care).</li><li>Respond to consults, develop treatment plans, and coordinate care in collaboration with the orthopedic team, within appropriate time frames</li><li>Document care in the EMR, complete inpatient discharges, and ensure appropriate follow-up.</li><li>Participate in daily rounds, trauma meetings, and interdisciplinary collaboration.</li><li>Educate patients, families, and support training of residents or students as needed.</li><li>Maintain licensure, certifications, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.</li><li>Participate in fracture conferences, M&amp;M presentations, journal clubs, and research sessions along residents and attendings</li><li>Inpatient coverage, inpatient consults, independent clinic and assisting in the OR.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Orthopedic – Trauma APP Additional Requirements:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li><strong>Work Schedule:&nbsp;</strong>Full-Time, 1 outpatient clinic day, 2 inpatient shifts (day/evening/night), rotating weekends.</li><li><strong>Education:&nbsp;</strong>Masters Degree and Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program.&nbsp;</li><li><strong>Certification:&nbsp;</strong>Board certified (ACNP or NCCPA certification), BLS, Virginia License, Viginia DEA.</li><li><strong>Payer Credentialing:</strong>&nbsp;Ability to successfully complete the credentialing process by third-party payors and Ability to enrolled as a CMS Medicare/Medicaid payor</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>1+ year experience of Ortho Trauma experience</li></ul><div><br>&nbsp;</div>",
