    "description_html": "<p><strong>Oasis Center</strong>: Oasis Center provides a wide range of opportunities that reflect the diverse needs of youth and their families, from crisis intervention to youth leadership and community engagement to college and career access.</p><p><strong>Position</strong>: Prevention Specialist (International Teen Outreach Program)</p><p><strong>Summary</strong>: To provide prevention services to immigrant and refugee youth and families and actively participate on the the Youth Action, Advocacy, and Education team.</p><p><strong>Salary Range</strong>: $37,000- 41,000 Based on Education &amp; Experience&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Coordination</strong></p><p>Essential Functions:</p><ul><li>Utilize evidence base positive youth development curriculum to coordinate the provision of service-learning and prevention group services for and with youth from international descent at two Metro Nashville Public Middle and/or High Schools.</li><li>Coordinate the provision of college access activities and workshops which focus on developing a college going identity.&nbsp;</li><li>Co-coordinate and co-lead special summer programming for students.&nbsp;</li><li>Co-coordinate and co-lead youth leadership group, activities, and event planning for a citywide celebration of diversity.</li><li>Coordinate prevention services within school and community settings.&nbsp;</li><li>Communicate and coordinate with school staff and administration regarding program implementation and follow-through.&nbsp;</li><li>Actively engage with school and community partners to coordinate site specific programming.</li><li>Assist in the coordination of marketing efforts internal and external to the organization.&nbsp;</li><li>Help build an inclusive, engaging and welcoming school climate that increases student attendance and school connectedness.</li></ul><p><strong>Direct Service</strong></p><p>Essential Functions:</p><ul><li>Facilitate the referral process for potential participants.</li><li>Provide intake and assessment services to youth and families referred to the program.</li><li>Provide service/learning and prevention services for and with middle and / or high school students.</li><li>Provide prevention services within school and community settings.</li><li>Provide summer programming for youth, as required.</li><li>Facilitate prevention group sessions, as required by the assigned project.&nbsp;</li><li>Provide parent outreach, family group, and supportive services, when appropriate.</li><li>Attend monthly team and agency meetings as well as regular supervision.</li><li>Document participant interaction in a consistent and ethical manner through weekly data entry and maintaining orderly client and program files.</li><li>Maintain visibility at assigned locations.</li><li>Provide referrals to crisis counseling services for participants as necessary and appropriate.</li><li>Provide liaison and referral services with appropriate mental health centers, courts, physicians, school systems, Department of Children’s Services and others as needed.</li><li>Participate with supervisor and appropriate specialists or consultants on specific case related problems.</li><li>Transport clients as needed.</li><li>Related tasks as assigned.</li></ul><p><strong>Administration</strong></p><p>Essential Functions:</p><ul><li>Maintain consistent and timely records, including quarterly program scorecards and caseload summaries and relevant reports to meet agency and funding and licensing requirements.</li><li>Promote service learning, college access, youth programming, and prevention services in the community.</li><li>Assist in the preparation for monitoring visits by funding and licensing sources.</li><li>Coordinate and/or supervise volunteers and interns as needed.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Coordinate projects/programs/services as assigned.</li><li>Participate in the hiring process and orientation of new staff when appropriate.</li><li>Participate in staff and program development.</li><li>Serve on intra-agency committees when requested or representation is significant to the agency mission.</li></ul><p>Non-Essential Functions:</p><ul><li>Serve on related community committees when requested or representation is significant to the agency mission.</li><li>Represent the program and agency through presentations and workshops.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p><p>Free Employee Only: HDHP&nbsp;</p><p>Vision, Dental, LTD&nbsp;</p><p>Employer HSA contribution&nbsp;</p><p>12 Paid Holidays&nbsp;</p><p>PTO&nbsp;</p><p>401K + up to 3% Match&nbsp;</p><p>Paid parental Leave&nbsp;</p>",
