Analyzing blueprint, job specifications and other relevant bid&nbsp;</p><p>documents to create profitable, accurate cost estimates in adherence to company quality and safety standards.</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</u></strong></p><p>&bull; Review bid documents to determine details of complex low voltage commercial construction projects.</p><p>&bull; Write scope of work and develop cost estimates in response to bid specifications and safety protocols.</p><p>&bull; Prepare bid packages to include proposal, safety requirements and all supporting documents.</p><p>&bull; Determine project timelines based on project complexities to include outside/inside plant details, network specifications and construction environments.</p><p>&bull; Execute take-offs of documents.</p><p>&bull; Work with Chief Estimator, Executive Director and Account Executive to determine customer project goals and timelines.</p><p>&bull; Attend site-walk and pre-bid meetings, documenting site conditions for use in the development of accurate cost estimates.</p><p>&bull; Act as liaison between sales, project management, field and operations to effectively transition projects and streamline communications.</p><p>&bull; Provide estimating oversite and bid review to junior members of estimating team.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Monitor industry trends, labor costs, and material pricing to maintain up-to-date and accurate estimates.</p><p>&bull; Work with manufacturers and distribution to obtain pricing for materials.</p><p>&bull; Work with management to determine labor capabilities and rates, equipment and other requirements.</p><p>&bull; Perform project hand-offs with team upon project reward.</p><p>&bull; Work with operations and project managers to identify, price, and document change orders.</p><p>&bull; Prove mentorship and training to junior members of estimating and project management team.</p><p>&bull; Work with Chief Estimator and leadership to determine best practices regarding safety and project management.</p><p>&bull; Other duties as assigned.</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>JOB REQUIREMENTS</u></strong></p><p>&bull; Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree or 8 + years field experience in a lead role and some industry certifications.</p><p>&bull; 15 plus years&rsquo; experience as a PM or Estimator developing cost estimates.</p><p>&bull; Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam, working knowledge of AutoCAD a plus.</p><p>&bull; Sound knowledge of BICSI design principles.</p><p>&bull; RCDD Preferred.</p><p>&bull; Good numeracy and computer skills.</p><p>&bull; Strong attention to detail.</p><p>&bull; Good communication skills.</p><p>&bull; Knowledge of material properties.</p><p>&bull; An understanding of installation processes and construction methods.</p><p>&bull; Good problem-solving skills.</p><p>&bull; Ability to work effectively as part of a team.</p><p>The worker is subject to inside and outdoor environmental conditions.</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>EEO</u></strong></p><p>This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee incumbent in this position.
