This role ensures production targets are met safely, efficiently, and with high quality by coordinating labor, equipment, materials, and workflow. The supervisor leads shop personnel, enforces safety and quality standards, and drives continuous improvement across all production areas.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities and Qualifications</h2>\n<strong><u>Key Responsibilities</u></strong>\n<strong>Production Operations & Scheduling</strong>\n<ul>\n <li>Plan and coordinate daily production activities to meet output targets and delivery schedules</li>\n <li>Start up production each shift, ensuring all lines and sub-shops are properly staffed and operational</li>\n <li>Review shop orders for accuracy, special requirements, and material needs</li>\n <li>Assign work and adjust staffing based on priorities, callouts, and workflow demands</li>\n <li>Monitor production flow, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions</li>\n <li>Track downtime and production performance</li>\n</ul> \n<strong>Team Leadership & Workforce Management</strong>\n<ul>\n <li>Supervise, train, and cross-train production employees across departments</li>\n <li>Provide clear direction on job duties, expectations, and daily goals</li>\n <li>Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions as needed</li>\n <li>Lead daily production and safety meetings (e.g., SQDC, shift start meetings)</li>\n <li>Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment</li>\n</ul> \n<strong>Quality Control & Continuous Improvement</strong>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensure all products meet company quality standards and customer specifications</li>\n <li>Verify QC documentation is completed accurately and consistently</li>\n <li>Perform routine inspections throughout production (prep, assembly, and finished goods)</li>\n <li>Investigate and resolve quality issues and discrepancies</li>\n <li>Recommend and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and control costs</li>\n</ul> \n<strong>Safety & Compliance</strong>\n<ul>\n <li>Enforce PPE usage and adherence to all safety policies and procedures</li>\n <li>Conduct regular safety meetings and address hazards promptly</li>\n <li>Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment</li>\n <li>Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions</li>\n</ul> \n<strong>Equipment & Maintenance Coordination</strong>\n<ul>\n <li>Monitor equipment performance and ensure proper operation</li>\n <li>Troubleshoot production and machinery issues and coordinate repairs with maintenance</li>\n <li>Ensure machines are properly maintained and work areas remain clean</li>\n</ul> \n<strong>Inventory & Material Management</strong>\n<ul>\n <li>Verify material availability and staging accuracy for production runs</li>\n <li>Communicate material shortages or discrepancies to inventory and scheduling teams</li>\n <li>Ensure accurate counts, door types, and handing during staging and production</li>\n</ul> \n<strong>Reporting & Administrative Duties</strong>\n<ul>\n <li>Complete and review production reports, including daily tactical reports and downtime tracking</li>\n <li>Ensure all production and QC paperwork is completed and submitted accurately</li>\n <li>Serve as backup to the Production Manager when required</li>\n</ul> \n<strong>Additional Responsibilities & Miscellaneous</strong>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform other duties as assigned to support Manufacturing and corporate objectives</li>\n</ul>  \n<strong><u>Qualifications</u></strong>\n<ul>\n <li>3–5+ years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in door, millwork, or building products</li>\n <li>Strong knowledge of production processes, machinery, and workflow management</li>\n <li>Proven ability to lead teams, enforce safety standards, and resolve operational issues effectively</li>\n <li>Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with general contractors and customers</li>\n <li>Demonstrated leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills</li>\n <li>Experience with pre-hung door production processes (prep, machining, assembly, staging) preferred</li>\n <li>Clear verbal and written communication skills for interacting with crews, customers, and internal teams</li>\n <li>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Compensation and Benefits</h2>\n<strong><u>Reports To</u></strong>Production Manager  \n<strong><u>Compensation</u></strong>The listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position.
