Overview The YMCA is hiring part-time School Age Leaders for our School Age Program. We are looking for positive, energetic people who enjoy working as part of a team. Responsibilities Teachers work closely with the Site Director to ensure the proper supervision of children. Responsible for planning and implementing recreational activities, homework assistance, snack, and enrichment opportunities that support children’s social and emotional learning. Qualifications Minimum of 48 college units in ECE, Recreation, Developmental Psychology or other related fields; Under 48 units would require you to pass a school district para educator exam. Must pass Dept. of Justice and FBI fingerprint clearance. TB questionnaire. Benefits Competitive compensation Comprehensive health benefits - Medical, Dental, Vision for full-time employees - 60% YMCA covered medical benefits for full-time employees and their families Retirement benefits – 10% employer contribution after completion of eligibility requirements Employee Assistance Program for all employees that is available to help employees overcome emotional, family, or other personal problems; offers guidance on financial and legal issues; improves health and wellness, and much more.
