    "description": "<p><strong>Sartell, Burnsville, and Wayzata, MN (Travel Required)</strong></p>\n\n<p>At Skin and Aesthetics, our Mohs Surgical Technicians are essential members of our dermatologic surgery team, providing hands-on clinical support during Mohs micrographic surgery procedures. This role requires a skilled professional with direct surgical experience who can assist the Mohs surgeon throughout all stages of the procedure, from patient preparation through tissue processing and wound closure.</p>\n\n<p>This position requires regular travel between our Sartell, Burnsville, and Wayzata locations. You must have reliable transportation and be comfortable commuting to all three sites on a rotating basis. This is a non-negotiable requirement of the role.&nbsp;</p>\n\n<p>We are specifically seeking:</p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) with surgical experience</li>\n\t<li>Candidates with Mohs surgery experience strongly preferred</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p>We also welcome applications from:</p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Mohs Histotechnicians</li>\n\t<li>Surgical Technicians</li>\n\t<li>Medical Assistants (MAs) with surgical experience</li>\n</ul>\n\n<hr />\n<h3>Responsibilities / Daily Duties</h3>\n\n<p><strong>Surgical Assistance</strong></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Prepare patients for Mohs surgery</li>\n\t<li>Assist the surgeon during excisions, hemostasis, and wound closures</li>\n\t<li>Perform suturing, wound care, and dressing applications under physician supervision</li>\n\t<li>Maintain sterile field throughout procedures</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p><strong>Histology Support</strong></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Prepare, process, and stain tissue specimens</li>\n\t<li>Embed and section frozen tissue samples</li>\n\t<li>Ensure accurate labeling and mapping of specimens for physician review</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p><strong>Patient Care</strong></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Greet and escort patients to procedure rooms</li>\n\t<li>Educate patients on procedure expectations and post-op care</li>\n\t<li>Perform dressing changes, suture removal, and wound assessments</li>\n\t<li>Address patient questions and concerns</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p><strong>Medical Records</strong></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Maintain accurate EMR documentation including procedure notes and specimen tracking</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p><strong>Supplies &amp; Sterile Environment</strong></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control protocols</li>\n\t<li>Handle biohazard disposal properly</li>\n\t<li>Manage inventory and restock surgical supplies</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p><strong>Compliance</strong></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Follow HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, and clinical safety regulations</li>\n\t<li>Maintain quality assurance standards</li>\n</ul>\n\n<hr />\n<h3>Qualifications</h3>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>High school diploma or GED required</li>\n\t<li>LPN license preferred</li>\n\t<li>Surgical experience required (dermatology, Mohs, or operating room setting)</li>\n\t<li>Mohs experience strongly preferred</li>\n\t<li>Experience with frozen section histology is a plus</li>\n\t<li>BLS certification required</li>\n\t<li>Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instruments</li>\n\t<li>EMR proficiency</li>\n\t<li>Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment</li>\n</ul>\n\n<hr />\n<p><strong>Important:</strong> This role requires commuting between Sartell, Burnsville, and Wayzata, MN.
