Agile experience preferred.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: </strong>Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.d Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities for this Position</h2>\n<p>We have an immediate need for an Embedded Firmware Engineer. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>What You’ll Get to Do:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Develop embedded software using C and assembly languages on bare metal or embedded operating systems</li>\n <li>Utilize advanced development/debugging tools, e.g., C compliers, linkers, in-circuit debug, logic analyzers and more to evaluate and test embedded application performance and security</li>\n <li>Participate in all aspects of the product design life cycle including system architecture, design, development, and verification</li>\n <li>Document design and results</li>\n <li>Work individually and with a team to complete tasks</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience in embedded firmware development</li>\n <li>Experience using FPGA based SoC processors such as ARM, Microblaze, NIOS, RISC-V, PowerPC, or similar processors</li>\n <li>Demonstrate expert programming ability (C/C++, assembly, scripting)</li>\n <li>Knowledge of low-level computer architecture (CPUs, Memory Management Units, IOMMU, serial buses)</li>\n <li>Experience with FLASH programming, boot loaders, board bring-up and debug</li>\n <li>Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Our Commitment to You:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>An exciting career path with opportunities for continuous learning and development.</li>\n <li>Research oriented work, alongside award winning teams developing practical solutions for our nation’s security</li>\n <li>Flexible schedules with every other Friday off work, if desired (9/80 schedule)</li>\n <li>Competitive benefits, including 401k matching, flex time off, paid parental leave, healthcare benefits, health & wellness programs, employee resource and social groups, and more</li>\n <li>See more at gdmissionsystems.com/careers/why-work-for-us/benefits</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>#LI-Hybrid</p>\n<h2>Salary Note</h2>This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.).
