Behind the product are multiple engineering teams and dozens of developers.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>We’re looking for a <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Platform Engineer with a strong Developer Experience mindset</span>, </p>\n<p>who will improve the tools, environments, and automation that our teams rely on every day to build software.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><br>Your customers will be our developers<br></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Your job will be to remove friction from the development process and improve the environment in which our engineers work.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>This is not a traditional DevOps role focused primarily on infrastructure operations.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>You’ll own the internal platform, CI/CD, developer tooling, automation, and systems that <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">help engineering teams build, test, and ship software more efficiently</span>.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><br>What You’ll Work On</span><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Improving GitLab CI/CD pipelines and related tooling.</li>\n<li>Making development environments more reliable and easier to work with.</li>\n<li>Automating repetitive processes and manual tasks.</li>\n<li>Managing system upgrades and security updates.</li>\n<li>Building internal tools and services for engineering teams.</li>\n<li>Creating CLI utilities, dashboards, and self-service interfaces.</li>\n<li>Removing technical blockers and reducing day-to-day friction for developers.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Examples of Problems You’ll Solve</span><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pipelines take longer than they should and slow down feedback loops.</li>\n<li>Builds or tests fail intermittently without an obvious root cause.</li>\n<li>Development environments are difficult to set up or maintain.</li>\n<li>Manual steps exist where automation should.</li>\n<li>Teams are missing tools that would save them time.</li>\n<li>Developers lack visibility into the systems they use every day.</li>\n<li>Things technically work, but create unnecessary friction that adds up over time.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">How You’ll Know You’re Successful</span><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Developers spend less time waiting and more time building.</li>\n<li>New projects and environments come online faster.</li>\n<li>Fewer processes require manual intervention.</li>\n<li>Builds, tests, and deployments become more reliable.</li>\n<li>Teams encounter fewer blockers.</li>\n<li>Problems get solved systematically instead of repeatedly.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What We’re Looking For</span><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>You likely come from a <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">background in</span>:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Platform Engineering</li>\n<li>DevOps</li>\n<li>Site Reliability Engineering</li>\n<li>Backend Engineering with infrastructure experience</li>\n<li>Developer Experience</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>We’re not looking for expertise in a specific tool, but <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">someone who enjoys</span> improving systems, understands root causes, and builds solutions that last.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Technology You’ll Work With</span><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>AWS and GCP</li>\n<li>Terraform</li>\n<li>Kubernetes</li>\n<li>GitLab CI/CD</li>\n<li>Docker and Linux</li>\n<li>Node.js and TypeScript</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>We see <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">AI</span> as a practical part of modern engineering.
