Other benefits include employer pension matching, shift differential, incentive/premium pay, free annual biometric screening and paid volunteer time off.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>RiverView is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Job Title:</strong> Register Nurse (RN)<strong>Position Status</strong>: 1.0 fte (80 hours per pay period)<strong>Department</strong>: OR - Same Day Surgery<strong>Salary Range</strong>: $35.68 - $49.96 / per hour (based on experience)</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Position Summary:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>The Same Day Surgery Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care to patients undergoing outpatient surgical procedures. This role functions across the perioperative continuum, including preoperative, post-anesthesia care (PACU), and discharge phases. The RN works collaboratively with the interprofessional team to ensure safe, high-quality, evidence-based care while promoting optimal patient outcomes and experiences.\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Essential Functions:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Executes nursing interventions by collaborating with the interprofessional team incorporating appropriate standards of care and practice and patient outcomes</li>\n <li>Evaluates patients response to plan of care and works in collaboration with the interprofessional team to make any needed adjustments.</li>\n <li>Utilizes data to continuously meet care coordination needed across settings in conjunction with the patient, family, and/or other care providers</li>\n <li>Assumes responsibility and accountability for effectively managing nursing care of individual patients</li>\n <li>Documents nursing assessment and interventions to reflect comprehensive and integrated approaches to patient care in the electronic record</li>\n <li>Provides care that is safe, ethical, patient and family centered, and evidence based.</li>\n <li>Works independently within their scope of practice to achieve clinical outcomes appropriate for the patient and their families.</li>\n <li>Monitor patient while awaking from anesthesia in the PACU setting</li>\n <li>Review and act on test results</li>\n <li>Initiate and monitor intravenous (IV) infusions</li>\n <li>Provide patient education</li>\n <li>Complete accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record</li>\n <li>Serve as a mentor, preceptor, and/or resource to others</li>\n <li>Assist with the coordination of care across the continuum (e.g. inpatient, outpatient, Ambulatory) </li>\n <li>Minor cleaning of the department, stocking rooms, patient follow-up phone calls, and checking patient charges.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Minimum(s):</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, A.D.N or BSN</li>\n <li>Current State of Minnesota RN license</li>\n <li>Current BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC Certifications (if not current, must attain within 6 months of hire.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Preferred:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>1+ years of Inpatient, Emergency Department, Infusion Therapy, or Same Day Surgery nursing experience.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Competencies:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to manage multiple patients in a fast-paced ambulatory surgical environment.</li>\n <li>Effective communication and collaboration skills with patients, families, and the healthcare team.</li>\n <li>Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and professional nursing practice.</li>\n</ul>",
