    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Job Summary:</strong></p>\n<p>Assists engineers in applying technical principles of metrology as related to test systems and processes.</p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<p>Provides product and component testing using a range of measurement devices, from hand gauges and multimeters to complex measurement systems e.g.<br>\n Coordinates Measurement Machines and Multifunction Calibrators.<br>\n Serves as a technical resource to assist lab managers, engineers and customers in the interpretation of product requirements, selection of appropriate current<br>\n test methods/technology and analyze and interpret measurement data.<br>\n Provides basic programming, training, and operation of measurement and test equipment.<br>\n Develops and document testing methods and procedures.<br>\n Manages indirect material purchases of lab consumables.<br>\n Helps to maintain the housekeeping in the work area in keeping with a high precision testing environment.<br>\n Manages proper maintenance and calibration of the measurement and test equipment.<br>\n Adheres to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures for health, safety, and environmental compliance.<br>\n Demonstrates the specific technical skills (e.g., Dimensional Metrology, Electrical Metrology, General Laboratory/Quality systems) to support the position as<br>\n required.<br>\n Understands and applies appropriate company and department rules and guidelines to work.<br>\n Works with and trains apprentices and technicians.<br>\n Interfaces with customers, suppliers, engineers, and other functions.<br>\n Coordinates programs including planning, scheduling, ordering, and tracking.<br>\n Participates in the maintenance of quality procedures.<br>\n Leads and participate in improvement projects.<br>\n Develops and gives presentations to customers and suppliers.<br>\n Knows and complies with all safety policies and procedures.<br>\n Demonstrates confidentiality as required.<br>\n Participates in self- and team-audits and associated corrective action.<br>\n Performs other miscellaneous duties, as required, to get the job done.</p>",
