Description

Ready to advance your career while contributing to the future success of a rapidly growing firm? BETA is seeking an experienced Transportation Project Engineer to join our team. This position will play a key role in performing highway design, developing contract plans and documents, and mentoring junior staff. This position will also collaborate across our multiple service areas, assist with business development, project pursuits, and coordinate projects with our clients. Responsibilities: Provide technical assistance and manage technical aspects on a variety of transportation and transportation related projects Perform detailed engineering tasks, such as the design, review/preparation of contract documents, development of construction cost estimates and specifications Oversee and manage multiple projects at once, providing responsive client service and strong communication, both internally and externally Work with multiple municipalities and agency clients Present project findings and represent the company at client meetings Work as part of our overall design team, providing technical support and collaboration with other disciplines Oversee and mentor younger staff Preferred location is BETA’s Hartford office. Candidates should have flexibility to work from our other office locations. BETA also offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing employees to request working remotely up to 2 days per week.
