This role is ideal for an ambitious individual seeking career growth in environmental consulting and the environmental remediation market.</p>\n<p>You will have the opportunity to develop and refine a wide range of essential skills that serve as the foundation for a successful project management career in the environmental industry. In this full-time position, you will contribute to environmental investigation, remediation, and technical reporting, working across multiple projects and supporting various project managers as an assistant project manager. Your responsibilities will include office-based tasks encompassing a diverse range of activities related to environmental project management, working with technical staff to drive project remediation and characterization, managing project budgets, and directing field staff in data collection.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><b>Role accountabilities:</b></p>\n<p>As a Project Task Manager 1/Staff Scientist, you will play a key role as part of a collaborative team, contributing to the planning, management, and execution of various project scopes. Your daily/weekly activities will be primarily office-based work, with the potential to conduct site field visits throughout Alaska.</p>\n<p>Your typical responsibilities will include:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Arcadis Staff and Stakeholder Communication: Communicating effectively with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders under the supervision of the Project Manager. Training and mentoring Arcadis staff in the planning and execution of field work.</li>\n <li>Site Data Evaluation: Supporting the development of conceptual site models, nature and extent of contamination delineation, utilizing data to adhere to local/state/federal regulation, and contributing to the design, modification, or optimization of site remedies.</li>\n <li>Health and Safety Stewardship: Ensuring adherence to safety protocols and procedures for you and your project team.</li>\n <li>Technical Documentation: Writing and reviewing technical reports.</li>\n <li>Coordination: Helping to organize work schedules with Arcadis staff and subcontractors.</li>\n <li>Financial: Producing cost estimates, forecasting project spend, reviewing client invoices, and tracking key performance indices under the supervision of the Project Manager.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>This role offers a diverse mix of responsibilities, providing opportunities to contribute meaningfully to a variety of environmental projects.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><b>Qualifications &amp; Experience:</b></p>\n<p>Successful candidates for this position will have prior experience in task management and the execution of environmental investigations or remediation under the direction of a project manager. A strong understanding of task management include overseeing scopes of work, schedules, and budgets, while ensuring strict adherence to health and safety requirements. Preferred qualifications may include experience conducting environmental field work in Alaska, experience working with Alaska State regulators, working towards or having professional licenses (i.e. Professional Geologist, Professional Engineer) and knowledge of Petroleum hydrocarbon site assessment and remediation.</p>\n<p><b>Minimum qualifications:</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>4–8 years of experience in the environmental industry</li>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a closely related field.</li>\n <li>Previous experience with environmental sampling, technical report writing, data evaluation, staff mentorship/training, and aspects of project financial management</li>\n <li>Strong focus on health and safety, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>Preferred qualifications:</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Familiarity with federal and/or state environmental regulations</li>\n <li>Experience with petroleum hydrocarbon constituent characterization and remediation</li>\n <li>40-hour HAZWOPER certification (with an annual 8-hour refresher, if applicable)</li>\n</ul>\n<p>This position requires a dynamic individual with relevant experience who is ready to contribute to a team-oriented environment while advancing their career in environmental consulting.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\">Continue your career journey as an Arcadian.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\">We can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
