Working as part of SCADD&#39;s multidisciplinary team and reporting to the Nurse Manager, you will serve as a primary nurse for individual clients &mdash; coordinating their care, responding to their needs, and helping guide them toward health and recovery.</p><p>Responsibilities include:</p><ul><li>Perform initial nursing assessments and document ongoing client assessments in response to treatment</li><li>Perform client admissions</li><li>Develop, implement, record, and evaluate nursing care plans according to the age and specific needs of each client</li><li>Participate in and supervise nursing care, providing direct physical care measures as needed</li><li>Act as a primary nurse, working with individual clients and coordinating their treatment</li><li>Execute the medical regimen of care as prescribed by the physician</li><li>Educate clients and families toward an understanding of health, illness, and plans for post-discharge care</li><li>Respond to medical and psychiatric emergency needs of clients</li><li>Participate in the orientation of new employees and the transfer of knowledge necessary for the performance of duties</li></ul><p><strong>What You&#39;ll Need:</strong></p><ul><li>Associate degree in nursing or a related health care field; or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience</li><li>Current State of Connecticut Department of Public Health <strong>Registered Nurse</strong> License<strong>&nbsp;required</strong></li><li>CPR Certification required</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, external health care providers, clients, and families</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information clearly in one-on-one and group settings</li><li>Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize critical tasks in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Commitment to SCADD&#39;s values of diversity, equity, inclusion, and trauma-informed practice</li></ul><p><strong>Why SCADD?</strong></p><p>Since 1966, SCADD has remained at the forefront of substance use disorder treatment, continuously evolving to meet the needs of individuals, families, and communities across Southeastern Connecticut.
