Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities for this Position</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Network Virtualization Engineer</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Are you driven by modern virtualization, secure software‑defined networking, and mission‑critical systems? Join our team as we design, deploy, and operate VMware-based environments that support one of the most vital defense programs in the nation.</p>\n<p>In this role, you’ll help build and maintain advanced VMware vSphere and NSX infrastructures that empower global command-and-control capabilities. Your work will directly support the C2BMC program—an essential element of the U.S. Missile Defense System that enables commanders to see, decide, and act with speed and precision.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>What You’ll Experience</strong></p>\n<p>• Hands-on engineering with VMware NSX, vSphere, ESXi clusters, microsegmentation, and secure network design• Real-world impact supporting national defense operations and global mission readiness• Collaboration with infrastructure, storage, networking, and cybersecurity teams• Agile environment focused on continuous delivery and customer priorities• Opportunities to travel and lead remote installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting efforts• A chance to influence next-generation command-and-control system performance</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p>\n<p>• Deploy, configure, and maintain VMware NSX—including transport zones, segments, edge nodes, Tier-0/Tier-1 gateways, NAT, and routing (BGP)• Implement and enforce NSX security policies using the distributed firewall, gateway firewall, and microsegmentation• Design, deploy, and manage VMware vSphere, ESXi hosts, clusters, HA/DRS, and storage integrations• Monitor and troubleshoot network connectivity, performance, and security using Traceflow, packet capture, NSX CLI, and VMware tools• Integrate virtual networks with physical infrastructure and support system upgrades and deployments• Travel to remote sites to perform installations, advanced troubleshooting, and system validation• Support high-priority operations during evenings or weekends when required• Contribute to Agile sprint planning and cross-team project execution</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>What You Bring</strong></p>\n<p>• 3+ years of hands-on experience with virtualization and networking• Active 8570 certification (Security+, CISSP, GSEC, etc.)• Active Secret Clearance• U.S. citizenship and valid U.S. passport• Active VMware VCP (VCF Administrator/Architect, DCV, or NV)• Strong experience with VMware NSX, vSphere, ESXi, NetApp storage, Windows Server, and SQL Server• Solid understanding of HA, DRS, storage concepts, vMotion, and network troubleshooting• Strong communication skills and proficiency with PowerPoint and Visio• Ability to work independently on large field projects and collaboratively within Agile teams</p>\n<p>• Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>What Sets You Apart</strong></p>\n<p>• Top Secret Clearance• Active VCAP certifications (VCF Automation, Networking, Administrator, Architect; or legacy NV/DCV Design/Deploy)• Experience with vSAN, SRM, SANs, and VMware storage solutions• Scripting/automation skills: PowerCLI, Python, Ansible• Knowledge of hybrid-cloud platforms (VMware Cloud on AWS, Azure VMware Solution)• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as vRealize Operations (vROps)• Experience creating virtual machine templates and automated deployments• Background with Windows Server, Red Hat, and multi-user application environments• DoD security experience (STIGs, accreditation, AD/ACS, encryption methods)• Experience with Photon OS• Prior exposure to C2BMC or similar command-and-control environments</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Be Part of Something Bigger</p>\n<p>C2BMC integrates global sensors, weapons, and data to protect the United States and its allies.
