Join us in office, three days a week to contribute, connect and excel in our vibrant environment.</strong></span></p><p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span><strong>Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:&nbsp;</strong></span></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Working safely and in conformance with GHD’s Behaviour-Based Safety culture</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Verifying that construction work complies with drawings, specifications, and contract requirements</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Measuring and documenting quantities of work completed to support progress payment certification</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Preparing clear and consistent daily inspection reports</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Identifying, documenting, and tracking construction deficiencies through to resolution</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Completing day-to-day inspections and checklists for water or wastewater linear projects including open-cut, trenchless, sewer, and water applications</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Monitoring Contractor work for compliance with contract requirements</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Maintaining project records including diary entries and collecting as-built information</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Recording and monitoring contractor progress against the project schedule</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Making payment recommendations to Contract Administrator</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Monitoring contractor work for compliance with applicable safety and environmental legislation</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Taking action, in consultation with Contract Administrator and in accordance with contract requirements, when non-conformances are observed.</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Identifying and making recommendations to proactively resolve emerging project issues.</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Coordinating contractor’s work activities with the client, approval authorities, and utility providers</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Coordinating material testing and supporting commissioning activities</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Coordinating and expediting contractor documentation including shop drawings, work plans, and test reports</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Collaborating with residents and local property owners to record and resolve field-level issues.</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Completing required training including First Aid and Working at Heights.</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Work outdoors in all weather conditions</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Working nights, weekends, and overtime hours as necessary</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Mentoring junior staff</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Other duties as assigned.</span></li></ul><p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span><strong>What you will bring to the team:</strong></span></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Post-secondary education in civil engineering or related discipline. CET designation, PEO EIT or P.Eng. designation, or equivalent is an asset.</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Minimum of five (5) years' experience in linear underground and transportation infrastructure projects.</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Experience providing onsite inspection services of linear and transportation municipal infrastructure projects, providing material testing, and assessing relevant codes, standards and regulatory guidelines</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>City of Toronto experience is an asset.</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Valid Class ‘G’ driver’s license and a vehicle</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Strong teamwork ability with strong written and oral communication skills</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Sound judgment and ability to work independently and take initiative.</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Experience in the design of sewer &amp; water main work</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Builterra, AutoCAD, MS Project, and Primavera P6 experience is an asset.</span></li></ul><p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>#LI-LL1</span></p><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm;\"><span style=\"color: black;\">* The salary range for this position is $33/Hour - $49/Hour.<span>&nbsp; </span>The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for GHD locations in its major city centres.
