This position includes care planning, referrals, group facilitation and supportive counselling. The position will encompass community-based capacity building and stigma reduction through education and prevention, consultation, and collaboration. Intervention aids in the understanding of the effects of substance use and co-occurring mental health issues and enhanced coping, improved health status and skill development in all life domains. The role will involve working closely with key community partners such as the Rapid Access Addiction Medicine (RAAM) clinics, family physicians, hospitals, withdrawal management services, etc. Service delivery occurs in a range of office and community settings.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Education and Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Bachelor’s degree in a human service/health science discipline relevant to the position. Equivalency may be considered for a combination of educational experiences.  Examples of equivalency include:</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Addictions: Diploma in human services/health sciences PLUS post-diploma specialization in addictions</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Mental Health related diploma with relevant work experience PLUS registration with a regulated health professional college</span></li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Registration with a recognized college (i.e., OCSWSSW) an asset</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">One year of experience working with persons who have mental illness and/or developmental disability and/or substance use issues preferred, plus experience in providing one or more of the following preferred:</span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">supportive counselling</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">case management</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">crisis intervention</span></li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Manage internal and external relationships, to have and demonstrate empathy and compassion, to be aware of emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, and the understanding of the feelings, ideas and beliefs of others</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Indigenous cultural awareness and education is an asset</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ability to work autonomously as well as cooperatively within a team environment in a rural setting</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, the Internet, and electronic medical records</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">A willingness to serve clients within the communities of the District of Muskoka and Parry Sound</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">A valid Ontario G or G2 driver’s license, a safe and reliable means of transportation, and appropriate insurance for work purposes on your vehicle with a minimum of $1,000,000 in liability coverage.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Bilingual in French/English language considered an asset</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Work schedule may include days/evenings/weekends and statutory holidays.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Salary scale:</span> $29.85 to $39.09 per hour commensurate with qualifications and experience.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Benefits: </span>A comprehensive benefit plan and enrollment in a Registered Retirement plan with HOOPP where contributions start on date of hire.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">You are invited to submit your application by <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">quoting competition number 31-26 </span>by <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">4:00pm on Monday, June 8, 2026</span>, to:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;
