    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><span><b>MANUFACTURING SCHEDULER&nbsp;</b></span></p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><span><b>ROLE PROFILE</b></span></p>\n<p><span>A manufacturing scheduler&nbsp;creates and manages manufacturing schedules to ensure timely and efficient completion of orders, tasks, and projects within budget. Key responsibilities include balancing production capacity, materials, and labor; collaborating with various departments; monitoring progress; and resolving conflicts. Essential skills for this role include strong organizational and communication abilities, proficiency in scheduling and&nbsp;ERP software, and problem-solving capabilities.&nbsp;</span></p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><span>&nbsp;</span><span><b>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</b></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Initiate quotation process, develop and improve internal and as necessary, external supplier relationships and performance.</span></li>\n <li><span>Prepare and process purchase orders (PO’s) for materials, services, contractors.</span></li>\n <li><span>Plan and manage material logistics to ensure 100% on‐time delivery for planned projects, maintenance work, and outside work.</span></li>\n <li><span>Analyze operations needs with respect to capacity planning, maintenance, facilities and stakeholder requirements.</span></li>\n <li><span>Maintain adequate levels of stocked and controlled components to meet anticipated demand, adjusting order review points to minimize shortages or overages.</span></li>\n <li><span>Take ownership of all scheduling related processes and procedure documentation.</span></li>\n <li><span>Take direction from Master Scheduler to plan and coordinate applicable schedules.</span></li>\n <li><span>Review production specifications and identify and report plant capacity and health constraints.</span></li>\n <li><span>Monitor workflow and schedules to ensure on-time delivery.</span></li>\n <li><span>Coordinate with production, maintenance, logistics, and MRO to develop and execute schedules holistically to entire plant needs.</span></li>\n <li><span>Develop effective scheduling process to achieve all plant objectives.</span></li>\n <li><span>Coordinate with production, maintenance, logistics, and MRO to develop and maintain scheduling parameters.</span></li>\n <li><span>Collaborate with MRO to order and stock adequate materials to avoid any parts shortages and overstock or unnecessary inventory.</span></li>\n <li><span>Other duties as assigned as assigned by your direct leadership</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><b>ROLE ATTRIBUTES</b></span></p>\n<p><span><b>KNOWLEDGE</b></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Safety procedures like lock out / tag out, confine space, hot works, fall protection, etc.</span></li>\n <li><span>Understanding of basic manufacturing&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Read and understand blueprints.</span></li>\n <li><span>Basic math and measurement principles</span></li>\n <li><span>Basic computer knowledge&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Maximo (CMMS) knowledge.</span></li>\n <li><span>Understanding of company, policies, procedures, and union contract parameters.</span></li>\n <li><span>Understanding of scheduling principles and functions&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Knowledge on 5 S’s work standard</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><b>SKILLS</b></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Strong organizational skills</span></li>\n <li><span>Diagnose problems and make adjustments.</span></li>\n <li><span>Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.</span></li>\n <li><span>Managing own time.</span></li>\n <li><span>Detect issues and report those and any unusual situations to proper leadership</span></li>\n <li><span>Effectively advise up the chain of command and escalate as needed.</span></li>\n <li><span>Collaborate with the Shopfloor, Maintenance, MRO, and stakeholders</span></li>\n <li><span>Become an expert on all scheduling and material processes required at Roanoke</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><b>ABILITIES</b></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Comply with all safety regulations.</span></li>\n <li><span>Provide scheduling of emergency repairs of production equipment during production and schedule maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.</span></li>\n <li><span>Critically think through problems and take quick action to resolve.</span></li>\n <li><span>Schedule regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.</span></li>\n <li><span>Maintain clean and orderly (5s) working areas.</span></li>\n <li><span>Accurately review downtime records and escalate properly any wrong data.</span></li>\n <li><span>Maintain effective interpersonal relationships with all stakeholders.</span></li>\n <li><span>Understand and follow instructions and to escalate issues as required.</span></li>\n <li><span>Track essential KPI’s as appropriate involving impact to scheduling in your area of responsibility</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><b>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE</b></span></p>\n<p><span>4-year degree industrial, business related or similar preferred</span></p>\n<p><span>3-4 years scheduling experience (manufacturing preferred)&nbsp;</span></p>\n<p><span>Experience with CMMS</span></p>\n<p><span>Purchasing experience with supply chain&nbsp;</span></p>\n<p><span>SPX, Maximo systems experience</span></p>\n<p><span>Microsoft suite experience with high proficiency in Excel&nbsp;</span></p>",
