Position Summary Status: Full-time - 80 /h per pay period - 9am-530pm Department: MVHN INFUSION CNTR PHARM Facility: Miami Valley Hospital South Certified pharmacy technician, under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, engage in the following activities to the extent that the activities do not require the exercise of professional judgment: 1. Entering information into and retrieving information from a database or patient profile 2. Preparing and affixing labels 3. Stocking dangerous drugs and retrieving those drugs from inventory 4. Counting and pouring dangerous drugs into containers 5. Placing dangerous drugs into containers prior to dispensing by a pharmacist 6. Non-sterile drug compounding following the completion of site-specific training 7. Sterile drug compounding following the completion of a site-specific training 8. Experience Minimum Level of Experience Required: No prior job-related work experience Prior job title or occupational experience: N/A Prior specific functional responsibilities: N/lA Preferred experience: Prior hospital, long-term care or retail experience preferred Other experience requirements: N/A Knowledge/Skills · Possess good interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and problem solving skills · Able to read and write printed material in English · Proficiency with computer keyboard operations · Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications preferred · Ability to compute simple algebraic ratios, volume/volume percentage and weight/volume percentage · Ability to troubleshoot problems and/or do minor maintenance on all pharmacy equipment, printers, computers and telecommunication equipment with adequate training in the pharmacy.
