Description

The Senior Buyer - Manufacturing & Procurement is responsible for procurement execution, inventory management, and cycle counting across manufacturing partners. This role focuses on ensuring supplier on-time delivery, resolving past-due orders, and addressing material shortages to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations. Core Responsibilities Execute purchase orders based on demand forecasts, production schedules, and inventory levels Source and purchase raw materials, components, and strategic commodities to support production requirements Identify and evaluate suppliers; negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts Monitor supplier performance, including on-time delivery (OTD), and drive corrective actions for late or past-due orders Proactively manage shortages and supplier delays to minimize manufacturing impact Collaborate with suppliers to improve lead times, quality, and cost efficiency Monitor market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure continuity and reliability Maintain optimal inventory levels to prevent stockouts and minimize excess inventory Perform regular cycle counts at manufacturing partner locations to ensure inventory accuracy Analyze inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions Optimize inventory turnover and storage efficiency using data-driven analysis Additional Responsibilities Identify and mitigate material shortages impacting manufacturing operations Work closely with manufacturing partners to prioritize and resolve shortages Collaborate cross-functionally to improve supply chain resilience and risk mitigation Develop alternative sourcing strategies to prevent future disruptions
