&nbsp;</p>\n<p>The&nbsp;Building Condition Assessor II will be working with the RealSuite tools set including RealAsset, the BCA Mobile application, Astea for site scheduling and progress tracking and BGIS Business Intelligence toolset.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>\n<p>The&nbsp;Building Condition Assessor II may also work with client Asset Management Information Systems as appropriate.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>This role will work in collaboration with all key BGIS departments to ensure full support of all activities and play a key role in our INTEGRATED approach to operating buildings.&nbsp; RESPONSIBILITIES</strong>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Safety Ownership and Regulatory Compliance</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Comply with all internal and external requirements including but not limited to environmental, health and safety, fire protection and mandated by<strong><u>&nbsp;</u></strong>BGIS Health Safety and Environment Teams and enforced by law.&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Building Condition Assessments</strong>&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Applies knowledge of building condition assessment processes and technical standards in conducting asset assessments, annual building inspections and other specialized asset assessments&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;</li>\n <li>Conducts asset condition assessments&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Establish a strong technical presence at facility sites and cultivate technical relationships with on-site personnel&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Identifies and evaluates specialized asset component and systems conditions and deficiencies&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Completes asset assessment condition reports utilizing asset assessment management software&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Provides recommendations and cost estimates for building envelopes, components and systems repair or replacement for inclusion in the capital budget plan&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Completion of Project Justification forms to support project prioritization.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Lead scheduling and coordinates site activities&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Integration and Collaboration with Account Departments&nbsp;</strong>&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Work in collaboration with Facility and Project Management to ensure accurate information and building nuances are captured in the BCA – including any historical projects.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>KNOWLEDGE &amp; SKILLS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>University degree in relevant field such as architectural, civil, mechanical electrical engineering, building science or building engineering</li>\n <li>3-5 Years of relevant work experience</li>\n <li>Enrolled in EIT or P.Eng an asset</li>\n <li>General knowledge of technical standards and process in completing building condition assessments, in particular American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) Practice E2018-15 “Standard Guide for Property Condition Assessments:&nbsp;Baseline Property Condition Assessment Process”</li>\n <li>Advanced knowledge of the process of cost estimating for replacement and repair of building components and systems</li>\n <li>General knowledge of building science including base knowledge of all areas of study - architectural building envelope, mechanical and electrical building systems or site components</li>\n <li>Specialized knowledge in one of the fields of study - Architectural, structural, building envelope, mechanical and electrical building systems</li>\n <li>General knowledge of general building design, construction and facility operation of commercial buildings</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently and learn quickly</li>\n <li>Strong written communication skills</li>\n <li>Proficient with MS Excel and ability to learn other applications quickly</li>\n <li>Strong computer skills</li>\n <li>Detailed-oriented</li>\n <li>Valid drivers’ license with ability to travel 50-70%</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Valid drivers’ license</li>\n <li>LEED Certification from Canada Green Building Council, an asset</li>\n</ul>\n<p>This is a contract, full-time position with a salary range of $54,185 - $67,732 &nbsp;per annum.
