    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "Title:&nbsp; <b>Assistant Shop Foreman</b>\n<div>\n Division:&nbsp; Operations\n</div>\n<div>\n Reports To:&nbsp; Shop Foreman\n</div>\n<div>\n Salary Schedule:\n</div>\n<div>\n FLSA Status:&nbsp; Non-Exempt\n</div>\n<div>\n <br/>\n</div>\n<div>\n <p class=\"MsoNormal\"><b>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</b></p>\n <p class=\"MsoNormal\"></p>\n <ul>\n  <li>Assist with the planning, organization, and work assignments to mechanics, helpers, and related personnel.</li>\n  <li>Inspect work performed by mechanics and other personnel in process and upon completion to ensure proper standards of repair work are maintained.</li>\n  <li>Establish and maintain a positive and productive working relationship with drivers, shop personnel, office staff, and other school system employees.</li>\n  <li>Inspect tools and equipment for condition and proper use.</li>\n  <li>Perform emergency road service or assign mechanics to such service.</li>\n  <li>Drive the school bus to assist with road calls and drive routes when needed.</li>\n  <li>Supervise the servicing, lubrication, tire repair, and cleaning of bus/automotive equipment.</li>\n  <li>Ensure and maintain the safety and security of the workplace.</li>\n  <li>Lead and instruct mechanics in the repair and reconditioning of vehicles and other standard and specialized machinery and equipment.</li>\n  <li>Supervise service and inspections for all vehicles and make appropriate reports.</li>\n  <li>Supervise and evaluate staff as assigned.</li>\n  <li>Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.</li>\n </ul>\n <div>\n  <b>Qualifications:</b>\n </div>\n <div>\n  <b><br/></b>\n </div>\n <div>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Minimum of a High School Diploma or state-approved High School Equivalency (HSE) required; college or technical school diploma preferred.</li>\n   <li>Must hold a valid Georgia Class B Commercial Driver's License with Passenger (P), School Bus (S), and air brakes endorsements preferred.</li>\n   <li>Must have a combination of experience and training in maintaining, repairing, and rebuilding automotive engines, including diesels.&nbsp; ASE Certification preferred.</li>\n   <li>Three (3) years of experience in truck and automotive repair work with past experience in supervision preferred.</li>\n   <li>Ability to pass annual physical required.</li>\n   <li>Exceptional integrity, commitment to confidentiality, excellent character, and strong professional reputation.</li>\n   <li>Ability to abide by the Georgia Professional Standards Code of Ethics for Educators.</li>\n   <li>Must be regularly, predictably, and reliably at work.</li>\n   <li>Ability to be present at the physical worksite.</li>\n   <li>Must perform tasks involving prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting.&nbsp; Ability to climb, stoop, crouch, and crawl.</li>\n   <li>Must perform routine and frequent physical activities such as bending and lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds, and up to 100 pounds infrequently.</li>\n   <li>Vision, hearing, written, and verbal communications are essential factors in performing required tasks.</li>\n  </ul>\n </div>\n <p></p>\n</div>\n<div>\n <br/>\n</div>",
