Learn more about Blythedale on our website here.</p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and patient-focused pediatric Audiologist to join our interdisciplinary clinical team.  In this role, you will perform comprehensive diagnostic evaluations and implement individualized treatment plans, including the fitting and management of hearing technology (Hearing and hearing assisting devices) in infants, children and adolescents. Working with our youngest patients requires a unique blend of clinical expertise and “play-based” diagnostic techniques. You will be a vital link in a multidisciplinary team to ensure every child has the communication tools they need to thrive. In addition, the Audiologist will educate and train caregivers and related disciplines. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm or 8:30am-4:30pm.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Audiologist will report to the Director of Speech Pathology.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Diagnostic Assessment: Perform age-appropriate behavioral testing, including Visual Reinforcement Audiometry (VRA) and Conditioned Play Audiometry (CPA).</li>\n <li>Objective Testing: Conduct and interpret Electrophysiological tests such as Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR), Auditory Steady State Response (ASSR), and Otoacoustic Emissions (OAE).</li>\n <li>Technology Management: Select, fit, and verify pediatric hearing aids using real-ear measurements; provide cochlear implant (CI) candidacy evaluations and mapping.</li>\n <li>Newborn Screenings: Provide follow-up diagnostic testing for infants who do not pass their initial hospital hearing screens.</li>\n <li>Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work alongside ENTs, Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs), school districts to facilitate educational success.</li>\n <li>Counseling: Guide families through the emotional and practical implications of a hearing loss diagnosis, providing resources for early intervention services.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum 2+ years of experience providing audiology care to a pediatric population in a healthcare setting.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in pediatric-specific software and hardware (e.g., Verifit, Oticon/Phonak fitting suites, CI programming software).</li>\n <li>Knowledge of Expanse (formerly Meditech) and Dragon (for dictation) helpful.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Education, Licensure, and Certification</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) from an accredited institution in the U.S.</li>\n <li>Valid New York State Licensure in Audiology.</li>\n <li>Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from ASHA or ABA certification preferred. </li>\n <li>Pediatric Audiology Specialty Certification (PASC) is a plus.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Physical Requirements</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Standing, walking, stooping. </li>\n <li>Ability to transfer children and equipment up to 50lbs.</li>\n <li>Ability to meet flexible scheduling demands and patient care needs.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Perks of Working at Blythedale</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Competitive Salary:</strong> We offer a salary that reflects your skills and experience.</li>\n <li><strong>Professional Development Opportunities:</strong> Access to mentorship, leadership training, and career advancement programs.</li>\n <li><strong>Comprehensive Health Benefits:</strong> Including medical, dental, and vision benefits for you and your family.  </li>\n <li><strong>Retirement Plans with Employer Matching:</strong> Secure your future with our strong retirement plans.</li>\n <li><strong>Paid Time Off (PTO):</strong> Generous vacation, holiday, and sick leave policies.</li>\n <li><strong>Safe Work Environment:</strong> Commitment to everyone’s safety and well-being.</li>\n <li><strong>Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives:</strong> A workplace that values and supports all employees.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Blythedale Children's Hospital is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).</strong></p>",
