Description

PRIMARY PURPOSE: To perform diagnostic x-ray and laboratory duties under the direction of the Lead Radiologic Technologist and provider team, supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care through accurate imaging, specimen collection, vital sign documentation, and clinical preparation in accordance with OSHA guidelines, HIPAA regulations, and FoundCare’s clinical standards. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Complete basic x-ray orders as directed by providers using digital x-ray and electronic medical record systems. Complete lab duties as ordered by providers or in accordance with standing order protocols. Adhere to OSHA bloodborne pathogen exposure guidelines, universal precautions, and all applicable policies and safeguards in the administration of x-ray and lab services. Maintain HIPAA protections and ensure an environment that protects the confidentiality of patient personal health information in the lab, x-ray suite, and general health center. Communicate proactively with providers, lab vendors, and the radiologist to ensure timely and accurate administration and results for lab and x-ray services. Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly quality control tests and develop reports documenting continuous quality improvement activities to the Medical Director. Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies. Assist with scheduling appointments, documenting medical records, and coding and billing for insurance purposes as related to digital x-ray and lab services. Promote the mission, vision, and values of FoundCare. Comply with all FoundCare policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned.
