    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11pt; margin-bottom: 8pt; margin-top: 0pt;\"><strong>The Role</strong></p><p style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11pt; margin-bottom: 8pt; margin-top: 0pt;\">Weatherford is seeking a Metallurgist to support failure analysis efforts in our downhole Rod Lift division. This role is based in Mumbai and centers on analyzing failed downhole components to determine the root-cause failure mechanism involving, but not limited to, fatigue, corrosion, and overload. &nbsp;You will collaborate with lab technicians, engineers, and field staff to organize, prioritize, and conduct investigations to ensure timely and accurate technical reports.</p><p style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11pt; margin-bottom: 8pt; margin-top: 0pt;\">&nbsp;</p><p style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11pt; margin-bottom: 8pt; margin-top: 0pt;\"><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Conduct detailed root-cause failure analysis on downhole components.</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Analyse fracture surfaces to identify failure mechanisms.</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Conduct microstructure analysis to assist in determining underlying failure causes.</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Prepare and examine specimens using grinding, polishing, etching, hardness testing, and microscopy.</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Work closely with product line personnel to plan and prioritise multiple investigations.&nbsp;</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Direct lab technician regarding scheduling and prioritizing multiple failure investigations.</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Produce clear and concise technical reports on finding and conclusions.&nbsp;</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Report findings and updates to internal teams and customers.</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Support ongoing product improvement through failure trend analysis&nbsp;</span></span></li></ul><p style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11pt; margin-bottom: 8pt; margin-top: 0pt;\">&nbsp;</p><p style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11pt; margin-bottom: 8pt; margin-top: 0pt;\"><strong>Experience and Qualifications</strong></p><p style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11pt; margin-bottom: 8pt; margin-top: 0pt;\">Required</p><ul><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Materials Engineering, or related discipline&nbsp;</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">5–6 years’ experience in metallurgical failure analysis&nbsp;</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Strong hands-on experience with fracture analysis, microstructure evaluation, and root cause investigation&nbsp;</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Proven ability to assess failures involving fatigue, corrosion, overload, and related mechanisms&nbsp;</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Experience working in a lab environment with sample preparation techniques (grinding, polishing, etching, hardness testing)&nbsp;</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Ability to determine failure causes from incomplete or ambiguous data&nbsp;</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical report writing&nbsp;</span></span></li></ul><p style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11pt; margin-bottom: 8pt; margin-top: 0pt;\">&nbsp;</p><p style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11pt; margin-bottom: 8pt; margin-top: 0pt;\">Preferred</p><ul><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Exposure to non-destructive testing methods (e.g. dye penetrant, eddy current, magnetic particle)&nbsp;</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Experience working in cross-functional or global teams&nbsp;</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Prior experience guiding or coordinating technicians or small teams&nbsp;</span></span></li></ul><p style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11pt; margin-bottom: 8pt; margin-top: 0pt;\">&nbsp;</p><p style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11pt; margin-bottom: 8pt; margin-top: 0pt;\">Weatherford is a global energy services company delivering innovative, reliable solutions to the oil and gas industry.
