C ivil Field Supervisor
About Emil Anderson Construction
Emil Anderson Construction (EAC) is a civil construction leader with a proud legacy of excellence and innovation. Headquartered in Kelowna, British Columbia, we deliver projects across the province, specializing in roadbuilding, highway paving, and a broad range of complex civil infrastructure.
For more than 85 years, EAC has earned a reputation for providing high-quality, value-driven solutions. Our collaborative approach brings owners, partners, and stakeholders together to design and execute projects that stand the test of time.
We take pride in our people, our work, and our contribution to the infrastructure that connects and strengthens communities across British Columbia. Supported by regional offices, equipment yards, and maintenance facilities in Kelowna, Hope, and Chilliwack, we are positioned to serve communities throughout the province.
Our success is rooted in our Core Values: Safety, Leadership, Improvement, Commitment, and Excellence. Joining our team means working on landmark projects, learning from industry leaders, and advancing your career in a supportive, safety-focused culture.
The Opportunity
We’re seeking a Civil Field Supervisor to join our team in the Okanagan, supporting civil construction projects across the region.
As a Civil Field Supervisor, you’ll lead a crew on site to get daily work done safely and on time. You’ll work hands-on with a skilled crew in the field, ensuring safety, and efficiency every step of the way. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working outdoors, tackling big challenges, and being part of projects that shape communities.
Although we are a union affiliated organization, being an active member is not a prerequisite.
Your Key Responsibilities
Lead a civil crew to complete daily tasks safely and on time.
Plan the day’s work and assign tasks; ensure the right tools, equipment, and materials are on site.
Monitor work quality and adherence to drawings, specs, and safety procedures.
Communicate updates and issues to the Superintendent/Project Manager; request support as needed.
Maintain a clean, organized work area and enforce site safety.
Coach crew members, support training, and promote a strong safety culture.
Your Qualifications & Skills
Approximately 2-3 years’ experience as a Foreman.
Proven earthworks experience, and keen understanding of underground utilities.
Ability to read and understand design drawings and specifications.
Strong leadership skills, and the ability to problem solve and adapt to a changing construction environment.
Knowledge of provincial safety regulations and a strict adherence to company standards.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driver's abstract.
The ideal candidate should be based in the Okanagan region but must be willing to travel and work in various locations such as Kelowna, Revelstoke, or other project sites as needed.
The successful candidate should be a positive, motivated, outgoing individual who enjoys working outdoors, and has a willingness to work overtime when required.
What We Offer
The chance to be part of landmark projects that shape communities across British Columbia, while building your career with a company that’s been trusted for over 85 years. We foster a culture where people are more than employees — they’re contributors, owners, and leaders. At EAG, you’ll have opportunities to learn from industry experts, grow your skills, and make a lasting impact.
Union hourly rate: $40.00–$45.00 per hour.
Union benefits package.
Training and career development opportunities.
Annual safety recognition and employee appreciation programs.
Safety & Compliance
Safety is our highest priority. All employees are expected to work in compliance with company safety policies and WorkSafeBC regulations, wear appropriate PPE, and participate in toolbox talks and safety training, where applicable.
Belonging Statement
Emil Anderson Group is an equal opportunity employer, in all aspects of employment, including recruiting, hiring, training, performance management, promotions, and benefits. We base such decisions solely on job-related qualifications, skills, and abilities without regard to race, nationality, ethnicity, color, gender, political affiliation, religion/belief system, marital status, parental status, sexual orientation, age, diverse ability, or any other characteristic.
