About the Role:
The Panela Processing Associate for the 3rd shift plays a critical role in the production and quality assurance of panela, a traditional unrefined whole cane sugar product. This position is responsible for operating and monitoring processing equipment during overnight hours to ensure continuous and efficient production. The associate will work closely with the production team to maintain product standards, adhere to safety protocols, and troubleshoot any operational issues that arise during the shift. Attention to detail and consistency are essential to guarantee that the panela meets all quality specifications and regulatory requirements. Ultimately, this role supports the company’s commitment to delivering high-quality panela products to customers while maintaining a safe and productive work environment during the third shift.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a manufacturing or food processing environment is preferred but not required. Ability to work overnight shifts consistently and reliably. Basic mechanical aptitude to operate and troubleshoot processing equipment. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience specifically in sugar or panela production processes. Familiarity with food safety standards such as HACCP or GMP. Ability to read and interpret production and quality control documentation. Basic computer skills for logging production data. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and supervisors. Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor panela processing machinery and equipment during the 3rd shift to ensure smooth production flow. Perform routine quality checks on the panela product to maintain compliance with company and industry standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the processing area in accordance with safety and sanitation guidelines. Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or production issues promptly to the maintenance team. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets and improve operational efficiency. Document production activities, quality control results, and any incidents accurately in shift logs. Follow all safety protocols and participate in safety training sessions to promote a safe working environment. Skills:
The required skills enable the associate to efficiently operate and monitor panela processing equipment, ensuring continuous production during the overnight shift.
