    "description": "<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>e are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented <strong>Operations Research Systems Analyst (ORSA)</strong> to join our team at <strong>Lackland AFB</strong>, supporting the <strong>16</strong><strong>th</strong><strong> Air Force (16 AF)</strong>. The ORSA will play a critical role in applying advanced analytical methods, statistical modeling, and operations research techniques to support operations and decision-making processes for the 16 AF leadership, Operations Center, and subordinate units. This position requires expertise in data analysis, modeling, and simulation to optimize mission planning and execution. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Apply <strong>operations research techniques</strong> and <strong>statistical modeling</strong> to analyze complex problems and provide actionable insights for ISR operations. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Develop and implement <strong>quantitative models</strong>, simulations, and decision-support tools to optimize mission planning and resource allocation. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Conduct <strong>data analysis</strong> to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvement. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including intelligence analysts, mission planners, and leadership, to integrate analytical findings into operational planning. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency, effectiveness, and mission success. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Prepare and deliver high-quality reports, briefings, and visualizations to communicate analytical findings to senior leadership and stakeholders. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Identify and address data quality issues, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of analytical outputs. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Stay current with emerging analytical tools, methodologies, and technologies to enhance operational capabilities. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensure compliance with all security protocols, classification guidelines, and organizational policies. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li><p><strong>Experience / </strong><strong>Education:</strong> 16 years w/o a degree or 14 years with AS/AA or 12 years with BS/BA or 10 years with MS/MA or 8 years with Phd</p></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Technical Expertise:</strong> </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Proficiency in <strong>operations research techniques</strong>, <strong>statistical modeling</strong>, and <strong>optimization methods</strong>. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience with programming languages such as <strong>Python</strong>, <strong>R</strong>, <strong>MATLAB</strong>, or <strong>SAS</strong>. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Familiarity with data visualization tools such as <strong>Tableau</strong>, <strong>Power BI</strong>, or similar platforms. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong understanding of modeling and simulation techniques to support decision-making. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong with ISR platforms, tools, and methodologies.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong understanding of intelligence collection processes and requirements.  </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Skills:</strong> </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills for producing reports and presenting findings. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Security Clearance:</strong> Active <strong>Top Secret/SCI</strong> clearance is required with the ability for a polygraph</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience supporting 16 AF or similar ISR & Cyber organizations. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledge of ISR operations and intelligence workflows. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Familiarity with advanced optimization techniques, machine learning, or artificial intelligence applications. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Certifications such as <strong>Certified Analytics Professional (CAP)</strong>, <strong>Lean Six </strong> </li>\n <li><p><strong>Required Experience:</strong> Minimum 15 years of experience conducting analysis relevant to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.</p></li>\n <li><p><strong>Required Education:</strong> Master’s degree from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or have a bachelor’s degree from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and an additional 5 years Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
