    "description": "<p><strong>Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (PRN)</strong></p>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Essential Duties as Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA):</strong></p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist, assists in evaluation and development of the rehabilitative plan of care and in periodic re-evaluation as indicated</li>\r\n\t<li>Performs routine strengthening and therapeutic exercises.</li>\r\n\t<li>Assists in teaching exercise programs to client and family.</li>\r\n\t<li>Writes daily progress notes on clients and submits.</li>\r\n\t<li>Confirms, on a weekly basis, the scheduling of visits with the Supervisor/DON</li>\r\n\t<li>Consults with the Therapist regarding outcome of home visits and reports physical findings in written form.</li>\r\n\t<li>Assists client in use of self-help devices.</li>\r\n\t<li>Participates in therapy and other in-service programs.</li>\r\n\t<li>Attends rehabilitation department staff meetings and case conferences.</li>\r\n\t<li>Assumes duties deemed appropriate and necessary by the supervising Occupational Therapist</li>\r\n\t<li>Communicates effectively with all those performing care.</li>\r\n\t<li>Notifies agency of absences due to illness, emergency leave, normal vacation periods, or special professional meetings which will affect agreed services with the Agency</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Qualifications as Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA):</strong></p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Graduate of a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant program approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association</li>\r\n\t<li>Registration/certificate in the state</li>\r\n\t<li>1-2 years&#39; experience as a COTA</li>\r\n\t<li><strong>Lives within close driving distance of the Gibsonia/Valencia areas.</strong></li>\r\n</ul>\r\n\r\n<p>EOE</p>\r\n",
